{Chapter 9.}
Lydia:
Out of fear, I went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife before going to bed. Once I got into my room, I felt insecure, just expecting another rock through the planks over my window. The knife was stored in the drawer where I kept my cellphone. This was a new type of fear: not the pesky insects or height. This was the fear of feeling.
Eventually I fell asleep, a couple of hours after sitting around doing nothing got tiring.
---
" Lydia, you better watch yourself. I don't wanna die again. This town is no good for you: especially you. It is filled with creatures and one of them killed me. You should've never let anyone tell you the secret behind Mystic Falls because now the mysteries are flooding your head: and it's slowly killing you no matter how much you deny it. I don't care if it's already too late just note that you must run. It doesn't matter where but, you have to leave."
It was my voice speaking to me in the dark. Why was I talking to myself about myself?
" What's going on?" I asked. "Who are you?"
It went silent.
" Well, I'm the first Lydia Rivers." The voice whispered.
It was like I was trying to fool myself. The voice was in my ears ringing like wedding bells every syllable until everything just fell quiet.
---
I woke up, rubbing my eyes vigorously trying to get aware of my surroundings. The room was darker than usual because of the wooden planks substituting my window: it made my eyes feel lazy.
" Good morning love." I heard a velvet soft voice with a British accent say from the end of my bed. It startled me greatly and I nearly jumped right out of my pyjamas. It didn't take me long to realize this was the same guy I seen out of my window yesterday.
" Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" I asked slowly bringing my knees up to my chest.
" Don't make any remote sound or I will rip your heart out." He threatened.
" You're a vampire." I said more to myself than to him.
" Sort of ... Although I'm more like a hybrid." As he finished the sentence I scrambled for the knife in my drawer but, he grabbed one of my ankles and dragged me onto the ground.
For a moment it looked like he was going to kill me with his bare hands but, I scattered away in time. He punched the wall rather than my face and made a huge hole in it. In the time he took to pull his fist out of the wall I had gotten up to my feet.
" Don't make this hard for me." He growled pinning me up against the wall by my neck with one hand and holding a piece of my wooden bed frame in the other. It looked like a steak. Right now wasn't what I imagined my death to be but, it sure seemed like it.
" What do you want?" I managed to get out as he was choking me.
" For you to be dead." His final words before jabbing me with the stake and letting it drop to the ground.
At first it hurt so much all I could imagine was the amount of wood chips that would be in my body but, I refused to give in. My hand got hold of the knife in my drawer and I stabbed his arm. The man let out a yelp of pain, pulling his arm away and I dropped to the ground wincing at the blood. It was all over the place, practically pouring out of me but, I quickly stood up and raced to my bedroom door.
As I got there he rose with anger and practically threw me onto the ground again. Clearly this was Klaus and he wasn't leaving until I was dead. I was starting to tear up, how could Alec and Cassidy ignore the loud crashes of me being thrown around my room?
