Feyre and I ran from camp as soon as we got the chance. We gathered supplies and weapons, and I grabbed her hand and we disappeared into shadows.
I had to resurface several times as the ash dart Brannagh had managed to get me with was making it hard.
We arrived at the boarder of Autumn by the time the sun was setting.
I slowly sank to my knees, breathing hard. Feyre knelt next to me. "You did amazing, Adrianna. Please rest. For the baby." She said and rested a hand on my shoulder.
I grit my teeth. "Are you sure we're far enough away?"
"I'm mot sure. But you can't shadow travel us across a Court while pregnant."
"But the plan-" I began but she gave me a look.
"The plan involved an Adrianna that wasn't pregnant. And now we have an Adrianna that is pregnant, so that means we can alter the plan. We'll change it. I'll help. They poisoned my food with faebane. I'm not sure how much longer I'll have access to my powers." Feyre says gently.
"I don't feel comfortable out here, Feyre. We need to find someplace to hide, then we can rest. Tamlin will be hunting you. Us. He knows what we did." I sighed and rubbed at my face.
She frowned. "Spring is rioting. He's kind of preoccupied at the moment. And I say let him suffer. He also did awful things to you and Rhys and your family. I don't care what happens to him now."
"Well, I care about what happens to you. So let's get moving. The full moon is five days from now. We have a lot of traveling to do between here and now." I said and Feyre stood and pulled me to my feet and we walked around until we found a cave.
We had just got a fire going when a silhouette appeared in the entrance, cloaked. I was up immediately and drew my weapons.
"Wait. It's me." A voice said and I stiffened.
"Lucien?" I demanded. "What the hell are you doing? Get out of here."
"No. I'm leaving Spring. I'm coming with you, remember? You don't know Autumn as well as I do." He said and stepped into the cave slowly, hands raised. "I want to help you. I don't trust Tamlin anymore, Hybern is a monster, and my father is an evil man. You won't last long- especially if he discovers you two in his Court."
I clenched my jaw. He wasn't lying. "What do you want?"
"The truth. All of it."
I released a heavy sigh then said, "Sit. It'll take a while."
He did as was told and he and Feyre eyed each other warily. I took a deep breath, then told him all of it, from the time he came to Night Court with the letters from Ravenna all the way to the present. Lucien sat and listened, a flat expression on his face.
When I finished, he nodded slowly. "So your plan was to just uproot the Spring Court, and fool Hybern? He won't be too happy about being tricked."
I shrugged. "Yes, but now he has to work to help his allies in Spring. It gives us more time as they try to fix what's going on..." I drifted off and said, "Don't move." I spread my arms and shadows engulfed the cave until even the fire's light was drowned out.
There was something in the woods outside the cave.
We sat still, waiting for it to pass, hearts beating hard.It felt like an eternity before whatever it was finally disappeared. I released the shadows and sank back.
"What was that?" Feyre asked anxiously.
"I don't know. There could be anything crawling around in these woods." Lucien said warily. "You two rest. I'll wake you up when it's time to move on."
