suddenly, it made sense why someone with as much potential as yukhei would drop out of running. because he was bribed to expose his own teammates.

"hey, how do you know though? how do you even know we wanted him to run for us?-"
"don't believe me? come see for yourself then."

and with that the figure took off running into the building.

"shit, who's gonna follow him?"
"i just ate loads, it's not going to be me."
donghyuck began complaining yet again.

"hyuck, we literally do not have time for your stupid fucking complaints. me and hyuck will go because my dad works there so if push comes to shove i don't seem suspicious and hyuck is rich so he gets away with anything. and if anything happens, jeno can drive."

the two boys nodded to her plan, not having much idea else what they could do.

quickly, donghyuck and heloise followed in the direction of the person, slowing down to a brisk walk upon entering the building.

"just don't look suspicious." she whispered to him.
"no fucking shit, and don't say that. you sound immediately suspicious if you do."

she rolled her eyes and began to regret choosing to go with him just a little.

"which floor does your dad work on?"
"next one up."
he nodded quickly, checking his phone again to see if there was any update from jeno.

"okay apparently yukhei works on fifth floor, and... wait look that's the person there!"
heloise pointed out the black figure who was weaving in between boxes and racks and empty desks.

"shit, it's so quiet. is work time over?"
"it's almost five so i'd assume so."
she clicked her tongue. it was time to pray that she wouldn't run into her father.

the two entered the glass elevator, seeing as since the mystery person had taken the stairs, so they could look out for where he had gone.

but, as misfortune may have it, another person entered the elevator as they were nearing the fourth floor.
of course, this person was heloise's dad.

heloise visibly winced and looked away, donghyuck immediately understand what was going on.

the elevator finally reached the fifth floor, but heloise knew she wouldn't be able to leave. she nodded for donghyuck to go without her, and then turned to her dad.

"youngbyul... would you like a ride home?"
