the girl shivered in the breeze and covered her palms over her face to try and conserve a little heat.
"next time just fucking let me get my coat, you bitch it would've taken seconds!"
"i don't know if there's a guaranteed next time when we'll be on the way to my mum's house and the car breaks down but sure. will do."
of course, her insulation processes were helped along by jeno placing his jacket over her, the insides smelling strongly of him. his scent made her nose feel warm, the fragrance of something fresh and clean, like fresh paper or newly cut daisies.
she was drowning in the warmth and aroma of jeno's jacket when she realised that he would be cold in just his almost sleeveless t-shirt, which billowed and allowed wind to reach his body.
she didn't want to do what she was about to do, but she cared for jeno's health. only because she didn't want him to be sick and not be able to race of course.
"what are you doing?"
he asked tentatively when she stepped in front of him and spread her arms out to look like a bird with the jacket's sides acting as a set of wings. she wrapped her arms around him and hugged his body with the coat.
now they were both warm.
"caring for your health dumbass." she leant her head against his chest, "we can both be warm."
not just bodily heat wise, but in their hearts. she could feel her heart faltering at the close proximity between the two of them. she had hugged him before, so why was her heart moving weirdly now?
"why is your heart beating so fast?" she joked around with him in an effort to cover up the racing of her own stupid internal organ.
"actually, the question is, why is your heart beating so fast? and why are you blushing, when you're the one who hugged me? and why are you so close to me right now?"
