"ugh, see i never wanted to have to attend school ever again." heloise complained to sena.

sena had agreed to come to school with the younger girl since she was being forced against her own will. heloise didn't have many other friends, if any at all, and she certainly wasn't going to make it easy for herself to find any more.

sena knew this about her trainee, and had decided to help.

the relationship between sena and heloise goes back to a long long time ago. to a time when heloise was an amateur runner, to the time when sena still was a runner...

but alas, it had been over five years since sena participated in a run. she was of no training level to be able to even complete a run, let alone win one. and she was happier, she had a group, once.

and even if most her group that she had once trained were no longer with her, she had heloise, and that was enough.

"heloise-" the bell rung loudly to cut sena off.
"wait, dude, speak to me later, i'm gonna be late for my lesson."

the younger girl took off jogging along the corridor. she was going to be late if she wasn't quick, which really wasn't that much of an issue as long as no attention was brought her way.
she couldn't guarantee that there would be no attention.

as she hastened along the corridor, she was stopped by an arm wrapping around her body.

a blanket of what felt like suffocation wrapped around her at the unprecedented human contact and she pushed the other person away from her forcefully.

"jirin~ oh, you're not jirin-"
"no, im obviously fucking not-"
when she met the boy's eyes, her sentence was paused.

"oh... jeno, what the fuck?" the girl pushed him again. just for the sake of it.
almost tripping over, he had to grab her arm for balance: the whole situation looking messier and messier.

the boy held onto heloise's shoulders, not only to get her not to push him again but to steady her.
"you didn't have to push me that much. im sorry, i thought you were someone else."

she stared straight into his eyes and breathed thinly, not caring to address his two palms placed firmly on her shoulders.
"mmh, i can tell. dumbass."

"wait- i didn't know you go to school here?"
"i don't..."
he gave her a puzzled look.

"not for long at least."

there was this one time, basically i felt a little dead the whole day so i mistook my friend for someone who was two years above us, and i was legit listening to their conversation, thinking it was my friend and like bcs of covid, all of our boarding houses moved around, and i legit ended up following them to the wrong boarding house before i realised. <\3 that was so upsetting 💔💔
