jeno was stuck in his thoughts. he knew he should've gotten some sleep or something like that but he couldn't.
a million particles of little images ran around in his mind as the whole day, no the last two months played over and over. not even a broken record at this point, but a looped video with the same story but a new plot line every time.
it was her. and it hurt that it was her. because she would never have him plaguing her mind, or dancing in every unrelated thought like a beautiful distraction.
and it broke him. in a confusing way. in a way which he couldn't function but he could still move. not move on, no, but move forward. if that even made sense. which it obviously wouldn't because nothing does when it comes to love.
"oh god, please, no more."
another reason why jeno was still awake at this ungodly hour was for the fact that heloise seemed to be doing her own form of choreography in her sleep.
of course she was not doing actual dancing, but it just seemed that way for the many times she had moved.
he laughed a little under his breath when he saw her waking up to move around from her position for the millionth time.
but he stop laughing when she jolted suddenly.
"hey, are you okay?" "uh, yeah, i jumped in my sleep, it happens sometimes." "are you crying?"
jeno heard it in her voice almost immediately. the uncertainty when her voice played over the notes of the words, the lack of a steady pitch. she was crying.
"did you have a bad dream or something?" she turned to bring herself closer to his body subconsciously, gripping onto his shirt without even realising. he felt her head nodding against his heart.
"do you wanna stay up for a bit? you can play on my phone if you want."
