jisung and chenle had tried to comfort their hyung but to no avail. he was panicked and paranoid, unwarranted conversations about the matter weren't gonna help at all.
"uhm, don't worry jeno-ssi, the company and managers will sort it out." the boy only sighed heavily, curling himself further into a ball upon the grey sofa.
he heard them talk briefly about wanting to ask mark-hyung something but closed his ears so he would hear no more. he wasn't ready to talk to anyone about it.
sure, it was just a rumour. but it was a very plausible rumour, especially with the evidence of it right on his phone. but it's so easy to believe the one with most 'proof' stacked against them is actually the culprit.
his new phone that the company had given to him buzzed beside his thigh. jeno thought about how they were monitoring everything he did on it, every second of every game he played, every phone call and text message and picture.

he laughed a little and cheered up at his mother's ranting. sighing, he responded, "unfortunately, no, mama, but hopefully it'll be over soon. i didn't do it so hopefully it'll all die down. rumours mostly get found out."
"you don't need to clarify, jeno, i know you wouldn't do something as horrific as that. an act like that is couldn't come of the baby i know and love."
