It had only just gone dark. Everyone in the lonely house in the fields with a forest on each side had been sleeping for a couple of hours. The little feline next to the burgundy couch stirred. She opened her eyes, the youngest Black sibling felt like there was something wasn't right. Lyncx couldn't figure out what is was, her thoughts were foggy from just waking up in the middle of her sleep. Lynx slowly transformed back in her human form and took Danny's hoodie that he took off before he fell asleep.

Lynx tiptoed towards the kitchen trying to not wake her grandfather or brother. She took a glass and filled with water from the tap at the sink. Lynx was halfway through drinking from the water when she heard light groaning coming from the living room. Lynx eyes widened and she quietly stepped towards her family. Edmund Moore's eyes were opening slightly but fell close every time they were fully open. He even tried to get up but before Edmund could even sit straight, Lynx rushed towards him pushing him back.

"Don't gran'pa Eddy. You're not strong enough." Lynx whispered trying not to wake her brother, which she sure didn't because right after she had said it Danny led out an obnoxiously loud snore.

The elderly white-haired wizard coughed again, when he pulled his hand away from his mouth it was covered in blood. Some of the parts was something between liquid and solid, making it looking very gross. Lynx tried to keep her face straight but it looked, yeah, really gross.

Edmund Moore's lips twitched seeing the face of his granddaughter. But that was only for a short amount of time because he coughed again and the amount of blood had risen exponentially. It was only then that Lynx had realised that her grandfather was pale as a ghost. She didn't know what to do, she walked towards her sleeping brother and punched him hard on the joint between his chest and shoulder. He woke up immediately.

"Why would you do that?" Danny groaned. 'I hate it when she wakes me up. Can't she just wake me up like a normal person. It's Lynx we're talking about, like she would ever act normal.' The brown-haired boy thought to himself.

Lynx noticed her brother wasn't paying attention to her so she punched him again. This wasn't a time to be lost in your own thoughts. This was an emergency!

"Pay attention Daniel! Gran'pa is coughing up blood that looks gooey and very, very, very gross. I don't know what to do!" Lynx was beginning to freak out. She absolutely hated it when she didn't know what was happening. Danny grabbed his little sister by her shoulders and shook her lightly. She started pacing back and forward which meant that she was thinking or freaking out. Grandfather laying on the couch pale as a ghost coughing up blood is not a good time to be freaking out.
