I'm so so so very sorry for not uploading for so long!! I've had a lot of problems with my parents and school and myself and yada yada yada, but those are really no excuses. I'm sorry. I also haven't written in this story for a long time and I think in this chapter that you can see where I've started writing again.

I'd like to think I've improved in writing and I'm working on 10 or 11 other fanfics and an original. Maybe I'll post them, maybe it's just practice. Don't know yet. Again, I'm terribly sorry and I hope you enjoy the chapter. Also, tell me at what spot you think I started writing again.

The guys were staring at Lynx who was watching the light neon green drink with black bubbles at the bottom.

"Come on Stribor, try it!" Danny encouraged. He wanted to see her face when she tasted the fish drink.

The girl picked up the drink and took a little sip from the straw. It tasted like fish and at the same time like blueberry. It was weird but she liked it.

"It tastes good." Lynx said with a small smile. All three of the guys at the table their eyes bulged. They expected her to almost throw up or something.

"What? No way!" Danny dipped his pinkie in the drink and licked it. "BLERGH! Like a demon shitted on a fish's intestines and then it all liquified." The Moore boy said with overdramatic facial expressions. He pretended to be barfing and drank most of his butterbeer to get the taste out of his mouth.

Normally Lynx would poor her drink or food over Danny's head or steal his when he touched her food but she thought he already had enough karma and started laughing along with the two Weasley's.

Afterwards Bill and Danny fell into conversation when the little drake jumped on top of the table.

Charlie's eyes bulged out of its sockets and he opened his mouth again. The girl was quick to cover it so he couldn't make a sound.

"Don't scare him or he'll probably set this place on fire." She told him.

The ginger boy sheepishly nodded. He was beating himself up mentally. He loved dragons and it was so cool to see a firedrake that he had forgotten everything he knew about them and scared the little beast.

"Does he have a name?"

"Nope, I've met him just yesterday. Don't even know if he wants a name." Lynx said watching the small drake playing with his tail that luckily wasn't emitting any sparks and setting anything on fire.

"Why don't we just try different names and see if he reacts?" Charlie suggested, to which the girl next to him nodded. "Uhm, Ernest?" he saw the face the Lynx was making. "What, it's a name!"

"Yeah, for someone who's now wearing diapers because of old age." She roasted lightly. "Smaug?" again the drake didn't really react. "It's from a muggle book." Lynx explained further when she saw Charlie's confused expression.

Both of them tried at least a dozen of different names. Some dorkier than the other until Bill spoke up.

"What do you think of Grummie?" The small firedrake looked up from biting his own tail and running in circles like a dog. Lynx and Charlie eyebrows raised, finally getting a reaction out of him.

"Grummie?" they said simultaneously, causing the two 17-year-olds to chuckle a bit. It even reminded Bill a bit of his little brothers Fred and George.

The small drake looked up and his tongue was sticking out of his mouth like a dog. He looked really cute, making the two creature obsessed people at the table pout from how adorable it looked.

Bill and Danny shared a look and started to laugh at how their younger siblings were behaving on a winged lizard.

"I, Lynx Moore, hereby declare you Grummie, the firedrake." Lynx spoke in a fake posh voice before the drake jumped in the pocket of her jacket.

Danny watched as his sister smiled at the creature. It was a rare sight to see his sister smile so he was glad seeing it. It had been hard on him ever since he started Hogwarts in the science that his sister was alone in the woods, fending for herself. It was what their grandfather obviously had trained them to do all those trips when they were younger. But still, whenever he thought of Lynx, he pictures the toddler waddling away from him, only to turn into a kitten lynx.

The group of four kept chatting and when it came to be dark, each set of siblings said goodbye to each other. Bill and Charlie went to the carriages to get back to the castle while Danny apparated his sister back to the forest.

The young animagus was skipping in her tent. It was nice to talk to people that weren't herself but it was enough human contact for the next few months.

Her brother sauntered behind her and while she let the newly named drake sit on a pillow, she had thrown next to her bed, he sat on one of the many carpets that were overlaid on the ground.

Lynx heard the thump of her brother's big bum landing on the ground. When she noticed the orange spotted drake, of which she had quickly come attached to, was comfortable on his make-shift bed, she turned around and sat Indian style in front of him. She just stared at him, waiting for him to say something.

The dark-haired girl had a solid idea of what he was going to say but still kept quiet in case she could be wrong.

Danny sighed deeply before speaking

"You know you can still with aunt Isla and uncle Hamish." He looked up but Lynx had already averted her eyes to her fingers that were mindlessly playing with each other in her lap.

It was a discussion they had frequently had. Practically every time they saw each other but it was still brought up.

"Daniel, there is a reason why gran'pa taught us all this stuff. It would be dangerous for them. who knows if those are still after us? You're safe at Hogwarts and I'm safe in the wild. There is a reason that there is a plan for me to follow. You helped make that plan-" she was interrupted by her brother standing up abruptly and pacing around.

"That was when I thought the plan was going to be for a grown-up, not a 10-year-old!" he shouted, arms flailing all around.

"Life happened Daniel, you can't whine about it or it'll catch up with you. You adapt to what it throws at you. No reason fighting it."

He let out a humourless laugh"Stribor, this is just crazy! YOU ARE JUST A KID, LYNX!!" Daniel screamed with a voice filled with emotion, frightening both the animagus and the drake that had fallen asleep. Lynx saw his expression and took a few steps back

The anger was visible on the Gryffindor's face, and it was true. Daniel Moore was angry.

Angry that those people, of which he still didn't know who they were, could be out there and still looking for them.

Angry that his grandfather died protecting him.

Angry that his little sister was all on her own.

Angry that he couldn't protect her.

Angry at himself for letting all of it happen.

Angry for his life collapsing in one night.
