Context: for the context, you guys have tried for a kid before ( I should say multiple times) but it never worked out, so y'all just kinda gave up.

Warnings: None really, the only one I can come up with is mentions of failed pregnancies and morning sickness. Kageyama might also be off character.

" How is this possible?"

You asked yourself as you laid on the bathroom floor beside the toilet, with towels and blankets supporting your head.

You were holding a positive pregnancy test above you, staring at it in such confusion.

It did explain the fever, the throwing up, the headaches, and hell even your mood swings that would piss off Kageyama. You sighed, feeling yourself become sicker.

But that doesn't explain the previous attempts. I mean yeah, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But why now? Like you still want it, but why did you get pregnant now? Why not three months ago.

' the human body is weird'

You thought with a sigh. With the roll of the eyes, you decided to call one of your dear friends so they could come pick you up and take you to the hospital. Just in case you weren't pregnant.

" Like the test you took at home, it's positive"

You stared at the doctor with a slight shock, feeling your dreams come true. You felt yourself wipe away the tears that were starting to build up in your eyes.

" for your pregnancy symptoms, I would suggest going to the drug store and getting these vitamins and medications to help" the doctor hands you a slip of paper, which you easily took as you wiped the tears from your eyes.

" Now I would also suggest setting a doctors appointment as soon as you get home"

" So how did it go?"

Your friend asks you as you take a seat in their passenger seat. You looked at them with a small smile, the tears you cried at the doctor's office were long gone.

" Oh it went pretty good, just need some medications," you told them, buckling up and glancing towards your friend.

" Can you take me to the supermarket? I need something?" Your friend smiles.

" yeah- anything for you"

So there you sat at the dining table, some of the medication and vitamins your doctor told you to get and a cake that you somehow wrote " I'm pregnant" on it. Since the other times, you guys tried it wasn't a surprise, but this time it would be.

And now all you had to do was to wait tell Kageyama got out of practice and come home.

Which to your excitement, you heard the door unlock behind you, having you stand up so you could slightly cover the cake that you got him.
