♫16♫ Senpai and I in the rain

When school was over, Shishido and Ranfa headed elsewhere together. She's got her tennis racquet in a bag just like Shishido.

"Sakura, that thing you asked me to help you with... Why do we need your Dad's toolbox for that? I am not doing anything illegal."  

"It's something to help Ootori with." She simply stated.

"Oh. How?" 

"You'll see once we get there." 

"And why do I need to be there." 

"Because I need you there." 

"Oh." 

Ranfa kept her back to him. She can't walk beside him because she would blush if she listened to his voice while looking at his face so this was the safest way, though it made Shishido look like he's stalking her.

"Choutarou and the team is worried about you." Shishido suddenly said.

"I know." How could she not know? She's got members of the tennis club asking if she was okay in one day. Heck, even Hiyoshi Wakashi asked how she was...

"You did well against Atobe. I don't think he plays at full strength when playing against me so I think you should be proud of yourself, Sakura." 

"I've never lost up until now. I haven't been able to sleep because I've thought about the match again and again. It doesn't make me annoyed or anything, it makes me want to enjoy tennis again." She smiled, "I am starting to love tennis all over again." 

"Hey, you're finally walking beside me." Shishido pointed it out. 

She looked up at him and then her face blushed, "Senpai! Walk forward!" 

"Huh? Why can't we walk side by side?" 

"You're too dangerous!" 

"Huh?!"

Shishido wondered why they were at an abandoned building. He watched her clear the debris away and he was confused even more. 

'I hope she is not planning to murder me here. This doesn't look like a place where you can ever find the body...' He thought to himself, "Sakura?" 

"This is a perfect place." She then approached what looked like a half of a wall. The broken wall was a little bit over the net. She opened the toolbox and looked for a hammer and chisel, "Shishido-senpai, where does the ball usually land when Ootori tries to aim for the right side of the court?" 

"That? Ermm..." Shishido went over to her and looked at the wall. He imagined it to be the net and he pointed approximately where it was that Choutarou always made double faults. "Here." 

"Okay, so if this is the net..." She then pointed upwards a little bit, "This is the spot he will need in order to get it over to the other side of the net." 

"Okay." 

"Then, I'll chisel my way through it." 

"Wait, you're going to chisel a hole through this wall? Just so Choutarou can overcome that weakness of his?" 

"He will need to, what if we meet an opponent more annoying than Inui?" Ranfa pointed out. 

"I see. Hey, I'll do it." 

"It's fi-" 

"This is a man's job, Sakura. I'll do it." 

'God he sounds so hot when he's being assertive...' "Fine..." 

"Why are you blushing? is it hot here?" Shishido took the tools from her and started to chisel a hole that's the size of a tennis ball.

After much chiseling, there was finally a hole big enough for a tennis ball to go through. 

"Is this good enough? Sakura, stand over there and try it out." Shishido stood on the other side while Ranfa went to the other side. "Here!" She threw a tennis ball at her and she caught it with her hand. 

"Here I go!" She served the ball and it went through the hole with precision. Shishido in return, caught the ball with his hand.

'Right on the first go... I can see why Atobe would have a hard time with her.' Shishido was proud and he watched her make her way over to him. 

"I did it, Senpai! With this training, Ootori will be able to overcome his weakness too!" She smiled at him. 

"Ah, good job!" Shishido patted her head and smiled, "You're really amazing! You're the only girl I know who can make a shot like that!" 

"Senpai..." She thought he looked really good smiling like that. 

"Sakura, let's get going. Come on, I'll walk you home."

On the way home, rain suddenly started to pour. Shihido cursed loudly and he quickly dragged Ranfa with him. He held her hand and ran to the closest bus stop that had a shelter. 

"The rain sure is heavy all of a sudden..." He looked at her to see her wet hair, water droplets on her face, her wet shirt that you can see her baby pink bra-

"Hey pretty girl, I bet you look hot from the front~!" 

"Turn around and show us the good stuff!"

"Oi, don't talk to her like that!" Shishido glared at the two Middle Schoolers and then he took his Hyotei jacket out. 

"Sakura, wear this." He put it on for her and zipped it all the way up for her. 

"Senpai, thank you." It was a really nice of him to do that, she thought it was really sweet of him to look out for her.

"Huh, you look good in my clothes..." Maybe it was because she's small that his clothes would look big on her

"I look good in anything, Mom and Dad tells me so." 

"Eh...you're ruining the fun, bro!" 

"Yeah! Dude, you need to get laid!" 

Ranfa had enough of the two rude schoolers and she turned around to them. 

"Does your mother count?" She and Shishido said at the same time, making the two Middle Schoolers angry. 

Shishido decided that he doesn't want to stay under the shelter with two rude people like that. He held Ranfa's hand and started walking out in the rain with her. 

"We'll find another shelter, Sakura."

"Yeah, I'd rather be in the rain than stand under a shelter with douchebags." 

"Well said."

Just like the way she looked out for Choutarou, he's looking out for her in return...
