No matter how much she tried to sleep, the images of Choutarou and Shishido getting hurt kept replaying in a loop in her head. Sleep was not the answer for her at the moment; something has to be done.
Ranfa got out of bed and decided to go out to the scene of the ambush. She looked at her blue ribbons that was lying on top of the vanity desk once before shutting the door. It was 3:00 am so no one will bother to come out. Taking her tennis bag and a personal attack alarm with her, she headed out with silent footsteps.
Ranfa made it in front of the 24 hour gym. She found a real tennis ball by the front of a bush and she picked it up to feel the heavy weight of it.
"It's heavy..." If it was this heavy to just to hold it within her palm, it must have been painful to be hit with it from full force of a serve. It made her very angry that there were people using these as means to hurt others. She can't forgive each and every one of those people for doing such a thing.
"Obviously, it's heavy. It's a real tennis ball."
Ranfa looked back to see a boy who was close to her age with two larger boys standing behind him like a lackey.
Peter and his two teammates were gathering the remainders of the real tennis balls before anyone can take them in. They came back to do some cleaning up before anyone else do.
"Oh, you have your racquet this time." Peter has his racquet with him too and he can see where this was going, "I'm going to have you return that ball to us."
"And if I won't give it to you?" She took her tennis racquet out. She looked as cool as ice on the inside but the hate she has for Peter and the people in his team was burning like a forest fire.
"Then I will teach you the tennis I play is far superior to yours!" Peter shot a real tennis ball at her without mercy.
Ranfa know how powerful the shot of the ball would be and she will definitely fracture her wrist if she was to careless. Gripping the racquet with both hands, she returned the ball to Peter. A rally started in between them and she watched him grip what looked like an invisible ball before hitting the real ball.
'Why the fuck did he do that?' She thought as she was about to return the ball. When she was about to make impact with the real ball, she felt something powerful hitting her racquet, making it stop. 'Air pressure?!' Ranfa was honestly taken back but she didn't let it show on her face. 'I won't be able to return this ball to that bastard but I want to do this at least-!' She was able to return the real ball after hitting a fluke ball, though her timing ruined her planned course, she was able to change her aim from returning it to Peter to hitting one of his lackey.
"Oof!" She broke the nose of one of the lackey, "Shit! Fuck! It hurts!"
"You bitch..." Peter hissed, "We gave those players of yours light injuries and you give one of us a broken nose?! You evil bitch!"
"You should have thought otherwise when you attacked what I have pride in. Every single one of them is precious to me." She thought about each members of the Hyotei team, the team who made her enjoy tennis again. "If you hurt them with dirty methods, I will use even dirtier methods to deal with you!"
"Then I won't go easy on you!" Peter decided to stop going easy on her just because she's a girl. He decided to shoot his version of Gemini at her. He made a fluke ball with air after she served the real tennis ball at him.
"The same thing won't work on me twice!" She raised her racquet up and then sliced down between the space of the fluke ball and the real ball. However, she was hit by an invisible force towards her throat and the real tennis ball broke through the strings of her racquet. "Gah-!" She dropped to her knees, struggling to breathe.
