Jirou didn't even bother to answer her question as he dragged her from the entrance of the Hyotei cafe to the social dance. Despite the fact she was shouting at him that she doesn't want to be there, he just ignored her.
"I want to dance with Ranfa-chan!" His answer to why he's dragging her there was very simple.
"You didn't even ask if I want to go there!"
"You will say no so I will drag you there~! I want to dance with Ranfa-chan!"
"You...!" Ranfa wanted to hit him! The sleeping moron has managed to change her emotions from sad to angry! "Listen to others for a change, Jirou-senpai!"
In the end, she was dragged to the social dance event. The fire was warm and boys and girls danced near it with smiles on their faces.
"Being able to dance with Ranfa-chan is the best!"
'In the end, he did not listen to a single thing I said. He just up and decided to take me here...' Ranfa thought within the dance. She was surprised Jirou actually bothered to learn the steps for the dance; hasn't he slept through the practice sessions for the dance? She didn't think he would teach himself for the purpose just to dance with her.
"You look a lot better than before!" Jirou was showing a huge grin, feeling accomplished.
"Eh?"
"I don't like seeing you unhappy. When I see you unhappy, it would make me think 'what can I do to make Ranfa-chan smile again?'. Should I treat you to sweets? Should I take you out on a date...or should I take Ranfa-chan's heart and heal it with happiness?"
"Senpai...you really do think stupid things, huh?" She looked away with a light blush on her face. Seeing that look on her face made Jirou smile because he found it very cute and it really suited her.
"It's not stupid! If it is for Ranfa-chan, I am serious! I'm always awake and serious when it is about you..."
"You do sleep less when I am talking to you..."
"That's because I want to remember every moment when you are paying attention to me!"
"You treat me to sweets often, we went on a date one time...the only thing you have yet to do is heal a broken heart."
"Can I do that too?" She looked at him in the eyes to see such a serious expression on his face. It was the same face when he's up against a tough opponent on the tennis court. She didn't think he would be this serious when it came to her, was she that special in his eyes?
"A broken heart is not easily healed..."
"I'll still do it! I'll make every day so fun for you that you have no choice but to smile!"
"Jirou-senpai, you're making it so difficult for me to stay sad..." She can bet with everything that she can take him on in a game of tennis but there's no way she can stand being unhappy when he's there to turn that frown upside-down for her.
Ranfa stopped dancing and she suddenly hugged Jirou.
"Ranfa-chan?" Jirou tried to look at her face but she looked away with a tint of pink on her face.
"You better stick to what you have promised..."
Hearing her words, Jirou happily hugged as if she's one of his pillows.
"Ranfa-chan, I love you, I love you!!!!"
"I get it already! You're suffocating me!" No matter how many times he was bopped on the head, Jirou's overflowing happiness made it impossible for her hits to hurt him...
That was what he thought until he was kicked in the crown's jewel...

~Extended Ending~
"You're late! How dare you keep a girl waiting?!" Ranfa performed a karate chop to the head for the 30 minutes late Jirou. She should have arrived late also! She can't believe this guy would be late!
"Owie! Ranfa-chan, don't be so mean..."
"You're the mean one here! I stood here like an idiot!"
"I'm sorry, I fell asleep after I switched off my alarm..."
"You..." Ranfa decided this would be the last straw; this will be the only time she will forgive him for being late. "Fine, I'll forgive you this time. There is a place I want to go with you."
Jirou smiled brightly at hearing those words! She's not so angry after all!
"Can we hold hands?" Before Ranfa can answer him, Jirou held her hand, happily swinging it back and forth like a child on a school trip.
"I am holding hands with my boyfriend, not a child." It was a warning for him to stop swinging and start acting more mature.
Jirou stopped the swinging their hands and he wondered where they will go today...
"Yes, I would like a custom made clock that runs around on the floor and makes a very annoying noise while doing so." Where did Ranfa take Jirou? She took him into a clock shop and she's asking the clock maker to make a custom clock for Jirou, "I want the most annoying sound you have available, preferably one that will guarantee the person to wake up on time."
"R-Ranfa-chan, this will make it impossible for me to sleep!"
"You idiot! I want you to wake up on time!" She whacked Jirou on the head, making the clock maker sweatdrop on the spot. "The next time we're going on a date, you will use the alarm!"
"Eh...m-my beauty sleep..." Jirou looked as if he wanted to cry.
Ranfa looked at him and then sighed, "This is for your own good. What if something happens to me in the 30 minutes you weren't there? Can you live with that?"
"Eh?! What will happen?!"
"I said what if. Anyway, with the alarm, you will be able to meet me on time."
"Oh...oh! I didn't see it that way at all! Ranfa-chan, you are so smart!" He suddenly hugged her to him, praising how smart she was.
'If I don't say it this way, this boyfriend of mine will not agree to this. He went ahead and helped me great deal so I want to do something for him in return.' Ranfa suddenly reached a hand up and started patting his head.
"Hehe, am I being praised too? Yay~!" Jirou happily leaned into her touch, a warm happiness coursing through him.
"What am I going to do with you?" Ranfa asked him with a smile on her face, "Looks like I won't be able to get rid of you for a very long time."
"I'll cling to you for a very long time~!"
