♫31♫ Secret Feelings Part 1

Ranfa went to school earlier today because she was in charge of cleaning the chalkboard. The girl who was supposed to be there too didn't bother to show up at all and Ranfa had no idea why nor did she bother; that girl's a 13 year old! Ranfa's not her parent so she should be responsible for her own laziness.

In fact, Ranfa noticed that the girls from every year has been pretty hostile to her and she doesn't have a single clue why. Were they annoyed by the fact Atobe told her to come to camp with the others? It's not like she went as a normal girl, she went as their manager and she spent more time training than relaxing like they have thought.

'Hiyoshi? Again? What is he doing here?' She caught Hiyoshi walking into the classroom and she had no idea why he would be here so early; early morning practice was cancelled because it's a rest day until club activities and he definitely doesn't have cleaning duties like her. He has been caught by her arriving earlier than everyone else. Why was that? Why does he come to class with or without morning practice?

Ranfa sneaked to the sliding door's rectangular window to see what he was doing in there.

'Is that my desk? Is that a vase?' She can see there was already a slim, white vase sitting on her desk. There was a single white flower within it, a flower to respect the dead.

"Seriously..." Hiyoshi removed the vase from her desk, "Those girls really have nothing to do..." He was getting a little annoyed over the fact that the girls would purposely come in just to leave such a nasty thing behind. He walked over to the sliding door and opened it to see the one person he does not want to be here. "Sakura?!"

"Hey, good morning." She looked at the vase and then at him, "I see..." He has been getting rid of the flowers so she wouldn't be affected by it.

"This is-"

"It's for me, huh? I guess the girls are really annoyed over the fact I went to camp with you all." She rolled her eyes and took the vase from him, "I'll get rid of it. I have cleaning duty after all."

"That girl isn't even turning up and you're turning up all the time..."

"Somebody has to do it."

"Still..." Hiyoshi was the type of person who would downright refuse to do the work if the other person gave zero contribution, "Why are you not telling anyone about this?" He noticed. He noticed how her textbooks would go missing, her PE bag will go missing, her uniform will be cut up into many pieces during PE, her locker will be stuffed by trash, and a vase of flowers will be on her desk every morning.

Emptying the vase's water and disposing of the flower, Ranfa smiled at him.

"Because my time is occupied with you guys. I'd rather spend my time worrying about how to get you guys stronger than worry about what the girls will do next. My time is precious and I will not let those girls waste them."

Like going up against Atobe, she was not afraid at all; headstrong and always looking forward, that was her style.

"Heh, I'll do things my own way too."

"Oh?"

"I will make sure you are safe in my way."

Unless it will benefit him, he wouldn't go far for another person. Ranfa's an exception in his case because she's worth him putting out efforts.

Ever since Hiyoshi said he will keep her safe in his own way, she didn't think he would get the regulars involved. Whenever there's non club activities or committee activities, the boys would take their time to keep Ranfa company so non of the girls would get her.
