Ranfa and her bullies were suspended from school for a few days for the fight.
She will be at home, forced to reflect on her actions. What was there to reflect on? Ranfa decided to turn a blind eye to everything and focused on napping.
However whenever she closed her eyes, she was reminded of the match with Atobe. She should have been happy that he was able to execute her techniques, incomplete or not, but she couldn't find herself to be happy at all. Within the rallies, Ranfa felt Atobe's anger and distrust for her. In that match, she couldn't feel the enjoyment from him.
"He hates me..." She doesn't understand why it hurts her so much at the thought of him hating her. Why does it matter to her how Atobe thought about her? She never cared about what other people think about her so why would his opinion of her count for anything?
There was an unknown pain in her chest ever since he kicked her out of the club.
"Why...?" She doesn't understand this feeling at all and she wished somebody can answer it for her. "Ugh..." She cried against her pillow, unable to understand and unable to find the answer.
"Sakura-san, can I come in?" It was Choutarou's voice.
"C-come in..." She mumbled against the pillow but it was audible enough for him to hear her.
Choutarou opened the door to see her face flat on her pillow. He looked at her bedroom to see it was clean and normal for a girl of her age. He smiled a little when he saw a shrine for Hello Kitty in the corner of her room, he thought it was adorable.
"Sakura-san, I came to see you."
"Hn."
"I heard about your suspension from Hiyoshi and I just had to come by."
"Atobe-senpai won't like it if he found out you came here..."
"I don't care about that. I care about Sakura-san too much to care about something like that."
Ranfa was happy to hear that. She sat up from the bed and she smiled at him who pulled a chair over to sit on it.
"Practice just isn't the same without you."
"I am sure you guys will live."
"It's weird not seeing you there. I mean, usually you would be training with us or jotting on your notes."
"Ootori, practice more and stare at me less."
"Eh!?"
"Just joking." She smiled and she got off the bed, "I'll go get us some snacks. Thanks for dropping by, Ootori." She left her room to get some refreshments for herself and for Choutarou.
Atobe was busy with training. He didn't care about overworking himself because he didn't care about that at the moment. He tried again and again to perfect the techniques Ranfa passed him but it was very hard. The serve and the state of mind where she can see blind spots on the court, he cannot reach it yet. Why can't he reach it?
"Kabaji, towel."
"Usu." Kabaji gave Atobe a towel.
"Nowhere near... She is still above me..." Atobe was panting, tired with an aching arm.
"Keigo-sama," His butler, Michael, came out to Atobe's private court and he has made Atobe his favorite drink. "Ah, I almost forgot..." Michael took out a long light blue ribbon, "Keigo-sama, you dropped this on the way into the mansion." It was Ranfa's ribbon, still not returned to the owner.
