Choutarou found Ranfa by the golden ticket booth. What was she doing all the way here alone?
"Ranfa-san..."
"What? Don't look at me like that...don't look at me with pitiful eyes." Ranfa looked away from the taller 2nd year, not wanting him to see her feelings right now. "I'm fine...just have something in my eyes, that's all..."
Choutarou doesn't believe her at all and he pulled out a handkerchief for her, "Here, use it."
"I don't need it...I..." In the end, the tears from a broken heart started to flow from her blue eyes. The more she told herself not to cry, the tears continued its flow without a stop.
Choutarou used the handkerchief and wiped the trail of tears for her.
"You know? I thought I saw the mutual feelings from those two. I really did think that...I-I guess I was wrong, huh? My Insight is not always right..."
"No, you're not wrong, Ranfa-san." Choutarou suddenly held her hand and guide it so it was against his beating heart, "Even if you can't see it, you can feel it, right?"
"Ootori..." She can feel Choutarou's heartbeat with the palm of her hand. She looked up at him to be greeted by a gentle smile in return.
"I don't know why those two people would break your heart, I don't want to know either..." Choutarou then blushed as his eyes averted from her. "I just want you to know there is someone here who cares a great deal about you too so please don't be too upset."
Ranfa understood what he was trying to say; even if she's hurt, there's always someone for her to go to if she felt the need to cry.
"My Insight does have a blind spot after all..." The feelings he has for her that she cannot see, she wanted to feel that feeling for herself instead of trying to track it with her Insight.
"Eh?"
"Ootori...no, I shouldn't call you that anymore."
"Ranfa-san?"
"Choutarou, want to go to the social dance together?"
Hearing his name from her lips has a completely different effect on him than Shishido calling him by his name. What was this feeling? It's very warm and fuzzy, it made him so happy that he can die right now...
"What? Being called by your name is nothing new, right?"
"B-but it's you the one who called me..." Choutarou can't stop that smile. What should he do? He'll end up looking like a smiling idiot at this rate...
"Let's go. You managed to get me in a happier mood so you might as well go with the flow."
"Y-yes!"
At the social dance event, Choutarou was originally a little worried about the height difference making it difficult to dance but Ranfa doesn't seem to mind it one bit. Their steps were not ruined one bit by their height difference at all; their eyes focusing on one another instead of watching out for stepping on each other. They looked perfect from the eyes of others because they looked like an ideal prince and princess from a story book.
"Ranfa-san, Please rely on me from now on."
"What if you end up waiting forever?"
"Then I will wait forever for you."
"You really are faithful to your decision. How are you certain I am the one for you?"
"That..." Choutarou wondered about that but he found an answer straight away, "Because I believe."
"Pfft, that is fast."
"I don't think love is something complicated."
"You really are simple, Choutarou. I'll feel guilty if you share that bit of love with me..."
"Don't be. I am not choosing to wait for you because I am nice." Choutarou asserted himself in order to prove just how serious he was, "I really do love you. How long I have to wait until you see me in your heart will not make my feelings die out."
"Choutarou..."
"Ranfa-san, is it okay if I-"
"Ah. It's okay." 'Why did my Insight fail to see his feelings? I really don't deserve to have Choutarou's feelings for me if I had to have him help me feel his heartbeat for me just to feel his feelings...'
Her thoughts were interrupted when Choutarou kissed her on the lips...

~Extended Ending~
It has become official that they were dating. Ranfa made a lot of girls upset because the kind and gentle Ootori Choutarou now belonged to her.
Despite the fact they were dating, Choutarou has yet to hear her tell him the three important words. Whenever Ranfa would feel guilty of being unable to tell him, Choutarou will always remind her that she doesn't have to worry because he's with her no matter what. For now, he just wanted to keep her by his side for as long as he can...
Choutarou was playing the piano inside the music classroom during break time. He was not here alone because Ranfa was sitting by his side, listening to him play the melody.
Ranfa looked at his face to see he has closed both of his eyes and there's a small smile on his face as he played like a pro. The music was gentle and warm to the heart, reflecting Choutarou himself.
'I wonder what he's thinking about when he's playing this song...' Ranfa wondered to herself.
Choutarou suddenly stopped playing and he looked at her with a small blush, "Ah, no good...I am still nervous playing it with you by my side."
"Wow, that really is no good. I want to be your one and only audience in here, you better get used to it."
Choutarou chuckled when she leaned her head against his arm, "I can't say no to you."
"You can't."
"Yes, yes. Any request?"
"Hmm... River flows in you by Yiruma."
It has become their thing during their time in the music classroom; he would ask her if she has a request in mind and he will play it for her, and trying his best not to be nervous!
"Okay, here I go..."
"Choutarou?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
Choutarou's shock came out as a loud dissonance from the piano!
"R-Ranfa...san?"
"...if you're going to make that reaction then I won't tell you anymore."
"Eh?! Ah! No! I mean...you really feel that way?"
"...yeah."
Choutarou was so happy and he pulled Ranfa into a close hug, "I'm glad..."
Ranfa blushed within the hug and she smiled to herself just listening to him tell her how much it meant to him to finally hear the important three words.
"Ranfa-san, can I hear it again?"
"I love you, Choutarou."
