It didn't take a genius to find out where Elena went.

She almost died on this bridge two times, and now the idiot was back to try and make it a third.

Ugh, Brynn hated saving people. Especially people who cheated on their boyfriends with his brother. That's just messed up. And desperate.

"If you're going to do it, I suggest moving a little to your left." Elena doesn't even move. "You know, if you're going to let the sun kill you. The trees are blocking the sunlight."

"I deserve to die." Elena mumbles, clenching her fists together.

"Yes, you do, love. But unfortunately, that is not an option."

"There is no other option! I killed someone!"

"The first is always overwhelming, but you'll get used to it."

"That's the thing: I don't want to get used to it! He was a living, breathing being, and I killed him. And what makes it worse is that I actually enjoyed killing him! Who does that? What kind of person does that make me?"

Brynn felt bad. Well, sort of. Maybe it was time to give Miss Gilbert a little tough love. "You know, Elena, you're really acting like a bitch."

Elenas eyes widen, and instead of fear and panic, there was a little sign of anger. Good. Maybe if she got distracted she'd stop panicking and feeling sorry for herself.

"What?"

"You're being a bitch. Growing up, all I had was my dysfunctional group of siblings; yeah, I love them, but at times, they just made my life worse. But you Elena. . . You have people that risk their lives for you every bloody day. Hell, even I have went against my family to keep you safe, and I'll be damned if I went through  all of that trouble for nothing."

"That's not-"

"What? It's not fair? Not right to compare our situations? Let's face it Elena, yeah, you lost your parents. Boo-hoo. At least your parents didn't try to kill you! At least your best friend didn't fake her death and got too busy to reach out to her again! At least you have two really amazing guys who would take a stake in the heart for you! God, you don't even see what you have, do you?" Brynn stares at Elena, not willing to believe that she didn't realize how amazing she had it.

Brynn would never admit this to another breathing being, but she was jealous of all that was Elena Gilbert.

She had friends, a brother, an amazing boyfriend, an amazing non-boyfriend, a homey house to live in. . . What more could she possibly want?

"I know what you're trying to do. . . You're trying to make me feel bad."

"Oh, I'm not trying, love." Brynn takes a step forward. "I am going to make you feel bad. But all in all, the choice is up to you. If you decide to be a selfish coward and take the easy way out, fine. I won't stop you. But if you decide to grow lady-balls and do what you need to do, then I would suck it up because you're running out of time."
