Thank goodness she only called for Finn and Elijah. Brynn wasn't sure why her mother didn't request her presence, but she was glad.

It gave her an excuse to hide and Rebekah just offered her the perfect opportunity to escape.

And there the two sisters were, back at the grill. Again.

Brynn didn't mind. It was a distraction from the evil Salvatore who snapped her brother's neck. It didn't matter that Brynn and Kol started it, Damon had no right taking his anger out on him. He was just depressed that Elena choose the superior Salvatore and Kol's neck suffered for it.

But how Damon managed to knock out an original vampire. . . It's puzzled Brynn to this moment.

"So. . . Are you going to tell me why we're back here?" Brynn asks as her eyes wander around the grill. She smells blood and because of it, she winces. The urge was strong, but after everything that's happened, she's learned to control it.

And then her eyes find him. "Oh, the boy. I guess that means you want me to apologize."

Brynn wasn't good at apologies, but if it got her back in her sister's good graces, she'd think of one that sounded believable.

Rebekah grabs her sister's arm until she is within distance of Matt, then she lets her sister plop down onto one of the stools and compel herself a beer.

"Thanks, love." Brynn smiles as she gets handed the drink. She takes a swing.

Rebekah starts talking. "Hi. How are you doing?"

"Well, let's see, I went to a dance and got my hand crushed. I found out that I don't have health insurance, so I just needed a minute to myself." Brynn holds back a laugh. Health insurance was the least of his worries if his friends kept getting in Niklaus's business.

The old twat turned into a wolf when he was angry.

"Well, I thought, maybe I'd buy you an apology drink." A drink? Really, Rebekah?

"Maybe you could just leave me alone." The blonde snaps, taking the last sip of his drink.

"Look, I'm-I'm really sorry about my siblings. They're lunatics!"

"No, we are not!" Matt looks up and finally notices Brynn. He tries to seem all tough and mighty, but Brynn saw the little flinch he let slip as soon as he realized she was there. "We might be careless but we aren't lunatics. How rude of you to say, Rebekah."

Rebekah coughs, nudging her sister who nearly spills her beer on herself from the impact. "Oh, right." She sits up, ignoring the drop of beer that slid down her shirt. "Marty, I'm deeply sorry for causing you such discomfort. I will be happy to compel someone for your health insurance."
