What classifies as betrayal?

That was the one question Brynn is trying to figure out as she roams the streets of New York City.

She wasn't a big fan of New York, but she was too upset to be in the same room as Damon right now.

What in the bloody hell was he thinking?! She is an Original, for goodness sake! She didn't need his protection; whether he thought she needed it isn't her problem.

Sure, okay, it was a good feeling to know that whenever she was emotionally unstable that Damon would be there to catch her fall. But that's the thing: only when she is emotionally unstable.

They both knew- hell, anyone with working eyes knew- that Brynn was a hundred times stronger than Damon. It wasn't an argument up for debate. It was a fact.

And the fact that Damon felt he had to drive several states away to "protect" her, was really annoying. The fact that he questioned - Ahem, compelled- nearly every human in Westwood to ask her where she was, was even more annoying.

She grilled Damon while he was driving, and he shamelessly admitted that he searched all around Westwood for a good few hours before he found her- which Drew would no doubt find out about sooner or later. Him and Elena were also on their way to New York and decided to make a pit stop. Keep in mind that Michigan is not even on the way to the Big Apple, so it wasn't a pit stop. He traveled several states over from where he was going.

And why was he going to New York in the first place? Brynn couldn't care less. All she cared about was getting as far away from him as possible; she needed to think and it was hard to do that with him asking her for forgiveness every five seconds. And to make it worse, Elena doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut.

It was a wonderful ride.

Ha, yeah right. It would've been if she could snap Elena's neck and stash her in the trunk.

But unfortunately, that option wasn't available. Yet.

She sighs, spying an empty bench that she could sit on. She plops down, crossing her ankles and looking at all of the people.

Hmm, there was a variety of people. And that meant a variety of blood types.

It was overwhelming and she so badly wanted to give into the pressure. One sip. One sip from the vein was all she needed to make all the sadness and pain go away.

Ugh, she hated Damon. Well, not really, but at the moment she really wished she could.

She had finally gotten her closure with Drew. Not just for her and Drew, but for Damon. That weight on her shoulders wasn't as heavy anymore, which would help her move on with her life instead of dwelling on the past. And if Drew followed her advice and called Marcel, than he would be in good hands.
