She hated it. She hated the way she thought about his offer for way too long. 'Come with us and let us help you.'
Yeah right. Why in the bloody hell would he want to help a Mikaelson?! To try and kill them again?! It was too close and Brynn wasn't ready to gives everyone hugs and kisses for trying to kill her and her family.
But, playing devils advocate here, she has noticed what Klaus was doing to Elena. Hell, he wants her blood to create a new family! Even though the Mikaelsons were screwed up, she didn't think Klaus would want a whole new family. Him and his stupid hybrids.
She was so consumed in her own problems that she didn't take a minute to think of why Klaus was doing everything to the Salvatores. But then again, he was technically protecting Elena. No one would mess with her if she was under his protection.
So really, she didn't see why everyone was so upset. It wasn't as if Nik was cutting her head off. She was just using her as a personal blood bag. Okay, yeah, she knew how weird it was now that she thought about it.
Sure, it seems like a long shot, but Damon. . . Gah, he gave her emotions that she didn't think she was capable of experiencing after London.
As she walks the streets, waiting for Kol to wake up, she makes a split second decision. She knew deep in her heart that she wasn't as in to this feud between Klaus and everyone else in Mystic Falls as her other siblings were. But, she knew that she owed her brother, at least a little bit.
Stefan and Damon and all of their little friends didn't hate Brynn- maybe a little because of what her siblings did and her spraining Marty's hand. But Brynn hadn't done anything to any of them except retaliate when she was threatened.
Maybe, maybe she could have friends besides Gabi, Davina, Marcel, and Isaiah. Maybe she would make friends with that blonde vampire that Klaus seemed to love. Or maybe the Bennett which, or maybe even the famous Elena Gilbert.
Maybe.
She was tired of being nothing to her siblings. Maybe it was selfish to want someone to save her from drowning, but Damon. . . He offered. And there's no doubt she had a connection with Stefan too. Maybe, just maybe. . . She could help both of them. They both want to protect precious Elena, and she was the second most powerful original next to Nik.
It was a split second decision. She didn't think it through, all she knew was that Niklaus's words last night hurt her. And maybe she wanted someone to take care of her for once. If she let him, Damon and Stefan could, at least for a week or so.
"Brynn?" Kol appears behind her. "What are you doing?"
She pauses. "I. . ." She promised herself no more tears, but she was tempted to burst into them at the sound of her brothers voice. "I'm going after Damon."
