"126, please be advised. Caller is trapped in the break room in the center of the compound". Grace, my sister in law spoke into our walkies as we raced towards a burning factory.

"Dispatch, this is engine 126. This place is going up like a tinderbox. We are talking about at least a four alarm". My brother replied as we looked out towards the burning building.

"Okay, y'all take care of yourselves out there, you hear me". She warned and I chuckled.

"Yes ma'am". I smirked over at Judd.

Climbing out the truck, Mack and I rushed into the building and rescued the security Guard, before ushering him to the awaiting medics.

"We got another one". Brian yelled waving the others over as we looked at the building.

"Judd, up there is another water tower". I told him, pointing towards a fire hydrant.

"Yo, Garrity. Hit it with everything you got". The captain ordered over the walkie.

"Ryder! We need more pressure". He yelled.

"We're almost dry sir". Judd called.

"Hey Cap, I think I remember seeing a hydrant on the map about a hundred yards that way". Judd called.

"If I could run a four inch line to it, I think we could have a fair fight". He added.

"Get ' er done!". The captain called.

"Cass!". Judd called and I ran over to him.

"Be ready to hold on tight!" He smiled as he placed a hand over my helmet before running off to the hydrant.

Judd hooked the hose to the hydrant and the water began spurting out and we cheered.

"Cass, I need you to hold the line by Judd incase thing's go bad". Captain ordered and I nodded.

"Come in, 126 do you copy?" Grace called as I walked towards Judd.

"Dispatch, this is 126, what's up?" Judd answered.

"We just got a call in Spanish from a maintenance man. Said they store fertilizer ,ammonium nitrate, in that facility. Y'all need to pull those men back". Grace informed.

"Hey, engine 126 fall back". Judd yelled out making me turn around and look at him from the truck.

"Cass, move out of there now, fall back ". He yelled running towards me.

I turned around to look at the building and Judd pulled me away before turning around just as the building exploded.

"Ladder 126, do you copy?" Grace called out but got no response.

"Ladder 126, please respond".

"Ladder 126".

"Ladder 126".

~Six months later ~

"Are we seriously thinking about going back Judd?" I asked as we looked at the station.

"You got anything better to do?" He asked and I sighed.

"I meant are you ready?" I said turning to look at the frown on his face.

"Of course I'm ready, are you?" He snarled and I sighed out.

"I'm sorry Cas". He mumbled.

"Let's just go in Judd". I said softly as we walked inside.

"You two were there, the night of the tragedy". Captain strand began as we sat down in front of him and I nodded.

"That's gotta be rough". He added.
