Friends with Benefits: Part One

"Go, baby!" I yelled excitedly as T.K, Carlos, Paul, Mateo and I sat on the bleachers, watching Marjan in her game of roller derby.

"Look at Mama go". Paul cooed to Jasmine as he held her in his arms bouncing her slightly causing the baby to giggle.

"Let's go, Marj!" He yelled as we clapped in cheer.

"That's it. Let's go!" Carlos yeld.

"Ooh!" We chorused as Marjan managed to get the blocker out the way, making the girl fall over.

"Lets go". Mateo yelled when all of a sudden, one of the opposing team mates elbowed Marjan in the face.

"Oh, come on, ref! What are you, blind?" I yelled.

"How do you miss that elbow?" Carlos yelled.

"Wait, here it comes, here it comes". T.K called.

"She's about to bring the pain!" Mateo sang making me chuckle just as Marjan shoved the girl who elbowed her making the girl fall.

"That's my girl!" I yelled as we all cheered.

"Yeah! Go, Firefox!" We heard someone yell in the crowd making Paul and I look at him weirdly.

"Good Job, six!" Mateo yelled as Paul and I shared a look.

"Go, Firefox! Yeah, Marjan!" The mysterious man yelled gaining the attention of the other boys as he hollered.

"Looks like Marjan's got a fan". Paul commented making me sigh through my nose.

When the game was over, T.K and Carlos went to the bar to get drinks for everyone whilst the rest of us waited at the bottom of the bleachers for Marjan when I saw the same guy from earlier pacing outside the bathroom making me look at him in suspicion.

"She come out yet?" Mateo questioned making Paul look at him.

"Not yet". He answered before handing Jasmine over to me.

"Feels like maybe we aren't the only ones waiting for her". I commented as I kept my eyes on the mysterious man.

"I keep telling her to make her social media private". Paul sighed.

"You don't get three million likes by being private". Mateo commented.

"Or creeps showing up after your game". I added.

"You think he's a creep?" Mateo questioned as we all stared at him.

Suddenly Marjan came out and he grabbed her arm and by the look on her face, I knew that she knew him.

"What do you think?" I glared before walking over to them with the boys following.

"Hey, Marj?" Paul called and she turned to look at us in shock.

"Everything good here?" He asked when Jasmine started fussing to get to Marjan but I held her in place.

"Yeah, Uh, yeah". She stuttered, looking between me and the mysterious man.

"These are my friends from work, Paul and Mateo. And uh, this is--". She stuttered.

"Her girlfriend and our daughter". I interrupted making the man look at me confused.

"Uh, this is Salim". She commented awkwardly as the man eyed me.

"Oh, so you know this guy". Mateo chuckled.

"Only our whole lives". Salim smiled and I gave Marjan a look making her tense.

"You Marjan's brother or something?" Mateo questioned.
