"Who are we here for? Him or her?" Marjan questioned getting out the truck when we arrived outside the hotel our call was located at.
"Him. I'll hold the elevator". TK answered as Paul and I followed my fiance towards the second truck to grab our gear.
"RA unit from downtown will be here any second." He added.
"Sounds like maybe his heart gave out in the middle of a little afternoon delight". Paul commented looking back at my brother who walked passed.
"There's worse ways to go". Judd joked making me smile.
"Boys." Marjan scoffed just as I kicked the door closed after grabbing the battering ram out the truck and we headed into the hotel towards the patients room number.
"I think it should be this one right here" Paul pointed out as Judd grabbed the ram from me before walking up to the door.
He tried for the door knob but it was locked, so he banged on the door.
"Austin FD. Open up". He yelled before banging on the door again but after a couple seconds there still was no answer.
"All right. Everybody stand back". Judd called coming towards the door with the ram making us move away from the door a bit.
"Clear the door". Judd yelled before swinging the ram towards the door, but before it hit, the door opened making my brother halt his movements and look at the man who opened it.
"Sorry, I thought I propped it open". The man apologized as we followed my brother into the room.
"He's unconscious on the bed". He added following us towards the man laying face down.
"Please help him. He won't wake up. Tell me he's not dead". The woman, who I'm guessing is the girlfriend pleaded.
"Ma'am, just try to relax. Take some deep breaths. Come sit down. They're gonna do everything they can". Marjan assured the woman before directing her towards a chair.
"Miss, do you know if he was drinking or doing any drugs?" One of the paramedics questioned looking at the woman after inspecting around the bed for any of those substances.
"No. I mean, a little champagne. We were just fooling around". She answered before wrapping her robe tightly around her uncomfortably.
"Firefighters, can you help me turn him over?" The paramedic questioned looking at my brother and I.
"Yep". I nodded before walking towards the bed with Judd and grabbed the man carefully.
"On two". Judd commented looking at me and I nodded.
"One, two..." He counted just as we turned him over making me get a good look at the guy and I gasped before pulling back in shock and look at Judd who mirrored my same expression.
"Airway's clear. Breathing is labored. He's tachycardic. Looks like a myocardial infarction". The paramedic spoke as I stood next a pacing Judd with a horrified look on my face.
"That's a heart attack isn't it?" The woman questioned worriedly making me look at her with anger.
"Let's prep a line and push nitro." The paramedic ordered his team ignoring the woman.
"I'm on it".
Judd looked at me making me bite my lip in worry which didn't go unnoticed by Marjan.
"Uh, somebody should check his glucose". Judd commented making the team look at him confused.
"Are you saying this isn't a heart attack?" The paramedic questioned looking at my brother.
"He's just saying you should check his glucose". I answered for him when Judd looked like he was about to pass out from shock. Paul looked at me curiously making me look away from him and back at the patient.
