Back in the Saddle: Part two

"She's so cute! I never wanna let her go". Tommy cooed as she held Jasmine in her arms making me smile.

"She's got Cassie's looks, that's a bonus". Marjan smiled.

"Oh, how i remember when my girls were this small. How do you manage leaving her all day?" Tommy asked with a pout.

"With great difficulty". I chuckled.

"Yeah, but she's got a granddaddy and an amazing aunt to take care of her when these two are here". Judd smiled as he rattled a toy in front of Jasmine.

"Thank God for them". Marjan smiled.

"Hey, where's my grand baby at?" My dad called, walking into the station.

"Hey, daddy". Judd greeted when our dad walked up to us.

"Hey". He smiled standing in front of Tommy.

"Thanks for taking her daddy, I would send her to Grace but she's got a shift". I said making him chuckle.

"Hell, I'm glad you called. I get to spend time with mini you. Do you remember what you were like as a kid?" He smiled.

"Yeah, a pain in my ass". Judd joked making me hit him on the arm.

Suddenly the siren went off making me sigh.

"All right, daddy, we gotta go!" I said before kissing Jasmine on the head as Tommy handed her over to my dad.

Marjan did the same before we ran towards the firetruck and climbed in.

" She's over here.There's blood everywhere". A woman panicked once we entered the roller skating rink.

"She slid across the floor. A splinter or something must have been sticking up. It's all my fault. I'm her captain. I let her down. I never should've come back. I-- I wasn't ready. Please help her". She began to rant just as Owen bent down next to the girl on the floor and looked up at Tommy.

"Captain, scene's medical. It's your lead. Where would you like Fire?" Owen spoke.

"Get ready to lift her up. Get the floorboard so we can move her." Tommy answered.

"Cassandra, let's get a backboard. Marjan, the reticular saw. Mateo you're with me". Owen instructed.

"What's her name?" Tommy asked when I went over to get the backboard and bring it over to her.

"Tonya." The girl answered.

"Tonya, my name's Captain Vega. You've gotten yourself into quite a little trip here. I need you to hang on, okay. We're gonna get you out of this". Tommy assured the girl on the floor as she bent down next to her just as I returned back to Tommy's side.

"I'm not going anywhere". Tonya breathed out.

"Get her a C-collar. Start a line. Run it wide open". Tommy said to Nancy

"Copy that". She nodded.

"Stabilize that shard with two rolls of Kerlix." She said to Tim.

"Copy that". He nodded.

"Backboard flying in!" I announced.

"We're almost there, Tonya. How we feeling?" Tommy asked.

"Tired". She mumbled.

"No, ma'ma. I need you awake. I can't have you going into shock." Tommy informed.

"I'm pushing fluids, Cap". Nancy spoke.
