"Folks, if you can walk and talk without too much pain, have a seat in the green zone. Broken bones, non-life- threatening burns yellow zone. Anything more serious than that, red zone, so the first responders know who to treat first". Mateo yelled as the two of us bent down to check up on an old man who was badly injured.

"Sir, are you on any medication?" I questioned putting pressure on his bleeding leg.

"Uh... thyroid meds, and-and heparin for my heart". He answered.

"Heparin's a blood thinner. This could make the hemorrhage worse". I commented looking down at his leg.

"I'm gonna need to Tourniquet your leg, okay?" I stated making him nod.

"Hey, can we borrow your belt?" Mateo yelled to a bystander.

"Yeah, sure". He nodded before handing it to him and Mateo wrapped it around the guy's leg and tightened it.

"Hey, uh, where the heck are they-- the first responders?" The man questioned.

"Sir, they're on their way. It's gonna be tough with the storm". I assured.

"Little squeeze". Mateo commented before pulling the belt tighter making the man scream in agony.

"Take him to the red zone. See if you can get him some water from one of the restaurants". I stated looking at the bystander behind me.

"All right". He nodded.

"Sir, don't forget. I need you to tell the paramedics that you're on medication. It's very important". Mateo commented.

"I-I won't. God bless you, both". The man stated making me smile at him before Mateo and I ran off towards the others who needed help.

"Hey! Are any firefighters here yet? Some people need help" Someone yelled making us run up to him.

"We're firefighters. Where are they?" I questioned making him point up at building with a plane on top of it.

"I heard screaming on the sixth floor on my way out. I think they're trapped in an elevator". He stated.

"Of course they are". Mateo muttered.

"Let's go". I called before the both of us ran towards the building and up the stairs towards the sixth floor.

"Go! Get out of here!". A Civilian yelled as two ran down the stairs.

"Hello! Anybody there?" Mateo yelled as we reached the sixth floor.

"Yes! We're in here!" A woman yelled out.

"Help us! Please help us!" Another woman yelled making us run towards the elevator.

"We're stuck in here!" A man yelled.

"Austin Fire, We're gonna get you out". I assured pressing on the button but nothing worked.

"The fire department's here. We're gonna be okay." A man called as Mateo and I started pulling the doors open.

"Aah! Please hurry! It feel like it's going to fall!". A woman yelled.

"We just have to get these doors open". Mateo stated as the doors opened slightly before we pulled it harder making them open all the way but shuttered closed again halfway leaving a small gap.

"How many people are in there?" I questioned bending down to the elevator that was stuck halfway between two floors.

"Five. There- There's five of us. What happened? It felt like a bomb went off" A woman answered.

"Airplane hit the building". Mateo answered.

"Oh, my God, terrorists?" She yelled.

"Mother Nature. Is anybody injured?" I questioned.
