Two weeks later, Judd and I were in the lounge as he played video games and I was texting Marjan.

"Hey, BeastMaster66, come on the east flank and lay down some fire for me". Judd said into his headset.

"Copy that, BigBubbaJ". A boy called over the headset and I pulled a face.

"Ba, ba, ba, ba boom. That's how you do in Texas-a!" Judd cheered.

"You are so loud". Grace smiled walking towards the table.

"Tell me about it". I mumbled.

"Oh. Hey, y'all gotta give me five". Judd said into the headset.

"So 11 kills, huh? That's a new record, Baby. You think you, uh, maybe you missed your calling?" Grace asked, walking towards the couch I was sitting on.

"Uh, no, I certainly did not". Judd answered with a smile.

"Mhm-hmm". I smirked and he threw a pillow at me, making me laugh.

"You heading out? Thought you didn't work till tonight". Judd said.

"Actually, I was gonna hit bible study. You, uh, interested in making it a date?" She asked, sitting down next to me.

"Ooh, uh.... A church date. I don't know. Thats kind of an oxymoron, ain't it?" Judd chuckled and I gave him a look before going back to my phone.

"You know, if I didn't love me so much, I would be a little offended that you would rather spend your time with BeastMaster66 than me". Grace joked.

"No, I don't- I didn't mean it like that. I just ain't been feeling, uh.... Very full of the spirit lately, thats all". Judd explained, making me glance up at him.

"Well, my experience, the best fix for that is getting back in the word, Judd. Pastor Eric's been asking about you". She said.

"So tell Pastor Eric that I'm doing God's work every day, every shift". Judd commented.

"Judd, when you coming back to church?" She asked.

"Who says I am?" He asked and I sighed, already knowing where this was going.

"Listen, I understand that you have been dealing with a whole nother level of pain, but thats when we need God's help the most. I mean, its kind of his thing". Grace reasoned.

"I don't know, you know? It's... He didn't- he didn't seem, uh... Too interested in doing his thing the night that my boys died up at the factory, and they were God- fearing men, each and every one of 'em. And the only reason Cass is sitting here right now, is cause I pulled her back in time. So you gotta forgive me if the last thing I wanna do in the world right now is you know, like raise my hands up like some sort of singing half- wit and praise His name". Judd said and I shook my head.

"That's what you think I am... Some singing half-wit?" Grace asked with hurt.

"I didn't mean you". He added making her scoff.

"Okay, well, you know, you're not the only one on this ride. But its all right. You have fun with Mr. BeastMaster66. Maybe he can cook your dinner too. Bye Cassie". Grace said getting up and walking towards the door.

"Bye". I mumbled before looking at Judd.

"Way to be husband of the year, jackass". I scoffed getting up towards my room to get ready for my shift.

'We have a severe weather advisory'. The anchor spoke on the news as we were setting the dinner table up at the station.

"Oh, boy, its gonna be a long shift today". T.k mumbled as he walked into the kitchen.
