"It was six minutes, Cassie. She was pinned under water for six minutes before swiftwater Rescue got to us". Judd vented angrily as he leaned against the window in the hospital room, facing away from Tommy and I.

"I know". I muttered sadly.

"You can get brain damage in Four". He sighed.

"You can, you can". Tommy nodded slowly.

"But there have been people that have been under for seven, even eight minutes without permanent brain damage". Tommy added as she got up off the arm of my chair and took a step closer to Judd.

"The water was cold. That worked in her favor". She added.

"I couldn't get her out of there, man." He mumbled slamming his hand against the windowsill.

"I wasn't strong enough. I couldn't save her, I couldn't lift her". He panicked turning around to face us.

"Judd..." I mumbled.

"I got spooked". He began to cry.

"I saw the-the lights coming and I shouldn't have swerved the truck into a river". He cried.

"Judd! Do you really think either one of you would be coming out of this better after a head-on collision?" I yelled getting tears again.

"Is she coming out of it?" He breathed out angrily but I couldn't answer him making him sigh before hitting the IV stand next to him in frustration.

"Listen to me. Listen. Look at me". Tommy commented grabbing his face in her hands.

"Okay, we have to be positive about this, right? " Tommy assured making him nod.

"All right". He mumbled.

"She's alive". She assured making him breathe out slowly.

"She's a fighter. She laid you out". I smiled softly as the tears began to fall making him look at me as I stood next to Tommy.

"With one punch". Judd mumbled making us chuckle softly.

"One punch". Tommy nodded.

"Don't you dare underestimate our girl". I added and he looked at me tearfully.

"I never have". He cried.

"No, I'm serious. Smarty pants here is about to be taking courses that I couldn't even pronounce without getting my tongue tied up in a knot". Judd chuckled as we sat in Tommy's and Charles' dinning room eating dinner. Judd poured wine for everyone and went to pour for Tommy but she placed her hand over the glass and shook her head.

"First of all, he is exaggerating. y'all". Grace laughed making me smile as I tucked my legs up under me.

"No, no I'm not. What's-what's the one? The Globalization...of Emerging intercourse Relations". He tried to pronounce and I looked at him weirdly.

"I'm pretty sure that's not right". I laughed.

"The Globalization of Emerging Intersocietal Relations". Grace corrected making us laugh as Charles got up and took the dirty dishes to the kitchen.

"I mean, I was impressed 12 syllables ago". Tommy chuckled.

"T's right. This is, this is impressive. It's Georgetown, right? Bill Clinton went there. LBJ went there." Judd smiled.
