' A volcano on the Southern edge of Austin, once thought to be extinct, has only been dormant, scientists are now telling us...' A news reporter spoke on the Tv back at the station.

"You don't say". Judd said sarcastically as we stood watching.

'When what geologists are calling a volcano fissure opened up underneath Paradise Family Fun Center. But scientists warn this could be just the beginning. Pilot Knob off Highway 183 is part of a magmatic system several miles in diameter that's been inactive since the late critaceous period. Today is woke up'. The reporter continued as Marjan stood next to me.

"How is this real life?" Tim asked in shock.

"Tim, can I see you for a sec?" Tommy asked walking past us and I gave Marjan a knowing look.

"Check it, and then double-check it. Then check it again. I don't want any surprises out there today". Owen said walking past everyone who was busy with the machines and tools by the truck.

"What, besides the active volcano?" I asked sarcastically from beside Judd.

"Maybe I should pack the all-weather gear in case it starts raining blood next". Marjan added.

"A little locust repellant wouldn't be a bad idea either". Owen joked.

Later on that night I was sitting in Tommy's office with her, Judd and Marjan when the bell went off and we headed straight for the truck.

I walked in behind Owen with the rest of the crew and I looked around the Sorority house, who's pool was on fire.

"T.k, Marjan, you're on recovery. Paul, you assist medical. They're gonna need hands. Judd, Cass, you're with me". Owen ordered.

"Mateo, you get on these spot fires". He added walking passed the Probie.

"Copy that, Cap". He responded.

Judd and I followed Owen over to some injured people and we helped them over to the ambulance.

"Cap, I'm gonna go check further by the hot tub". I called.

"Copy that". He nodded and I walked away from them towards the pool area.

"Ryder, could you give me a hand over here?" Tim called and I rushed over to him.

"What happened?" I asked kneeling down beside him.

"I'm not even sure. Everyone went crazy when the pool started boiling. I guess I got trampled by the herd". The guy answered as Tim hooked him up to the monitor.

"College life, am I right?" Tim joked.

"Can you feel that?" He asked running the pen under his foot.

"My buddy in the pool, is-- is he-- is he okay?" He asked concerned.

"Don't worry about him. Let's focus on you right now". I said softly.

"Can you tell me your name?" Tim asked.

"Spence". The boy answered.

"Spence, you feeling anything?" Tim asked tapping his thigh.

"Yeah. Hey, you're EMS, so what color tag am I?" Spence asked.

"Oh, don't worry about that. Triage tags aren't a diagnosis". Tim answered.

"Come on, man. I'm premed. What color is it? Is it yellow--". He asked but got cut off when Tim tore off a red tag and I gave him a small glance.

"Why is it red? I-I-I can feel you tapping my fingers". He panicked.
