"Mommy, can I have your brownie?" Sky asked, opening the packaging.

I stared at her, chuckling.

"You're already opening it."

"No I'm not. It was already open, see?"

"Go ahead."

While she ate, I called Jackson, again. It was going on fourteen hours and I hadn't heard from him.

No one knew anything or at least that's what they said.

"Mom, I can't turn it on." Kai said, handing me the iPad.

I firmly held the power button, letting it go when the screen turned on. He whispered something as he took it back, going to sit next to Sky.

"Hey, Hunt!" I shouted as he passed.

"Yeah?"

The kids waved then turned their attention back to the devices.

"Am I good?"

Owen chuckled, hearing the question.

"Everytime you ask me, I will say yes. I will also say that you are not ready to be discharged, Sage. Take your time and rest."

"I feel fine and I need to find Jackson."

"I am sure he is okay. He won't be if he finds out you're out of that bed."

I huffed, rolling my eyes.

"I hate it here."

"How ironic, Doctor Bailey. Oh.."

He lightly gasped from his active pager, excusing himself.

"Great.." I whispered.

I turned my head to the twins, squinting my eyes. They've mostly been here so what could they know?

"Hey, Sky?"

"Hm?" She hummed, keeping her eyes on the iPad.

"Where's daddy?"

She shrugged.

"Have you guys talked to your sister or brother?"

"I didn't see Rae but I played Call of Duty with JJ last night." Kai said.

I nodded.

I had an update on one radio silent family member, now, I needed the others.

Knocks brought me out of my thoughts. Ben smiled, walking in.

"Hey!"

The twins put their iPads down, running to hug him.

"Your uniform is so cool!" Kai exclaimed.

Ben chuckled.
