"I'm so ready to take these off."

I referred to the heels I had on. Alex scoffed, shaking his head.

"We haven't even been here for two hours."

"I need an excuse?" I looked at him.

"You need to tell him." Alex nudged me.

He knew about the baby. I didn't have to tell him, it was just the peds surgeon in him that figured it out. I was eight weeks at the time, now I'm ten, even thought it felt like I was twenty.

"I will.."

"When? After the baby is born?" I hit his arm.

"Look, our schedules have just been hectic. We haven't really had the time to talk."

"Make the time. Trust me, you don't want him finding out from someone else."

"Have you seen him?"

I looked around the room, not seeing the familiar face. Confusion washed over me when I spotted Catherine, alone.

She was talking to some investors without Jackson by her side. He had told me 15 minutes ago that he was going to have some important conversation with her.

"What's wrong?"

I picked up my phone, calling him. His phone rang for a minute before going to voicemail. Despite my hope to avoid it, my gut told me that he was back to his old behavior.

"No.. he isn't. He's just talking to some big money people.." I tried to convince myself.

"What?"

"Jackson isn't answering, and something isn't adding up. I'm trying not to think the worst.."

"Wanna look for him?" I slowly nodded, my face feeling wet.

"Why are you crying?" He asked once he looked back while he made our way toward the exit.

"It's the hormones, idiot." I told as he got in the hall.

"Come on, you'll scare people away."

He directed me toward the storage closet. I rubbed the bottom of my stomach, twisting the handle.

"Mer is gonna kill me-" Alex started, stopping at the sight in front of us.

"If I don't kill you first." He threatened Jackson who stood shirtless.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I semi shouted.

Willow scrambled to find her shirt, covering up the bra she didn't have on.

"Babe.." Jackson softly spoke, quickly putting on his shirt.

"Are you... kidding me?" I sobbed.

"Sage, I'm-"

"Shut up." Alex yelled at Willow.
