"We're not going to school tomorrow... Are we?"  Hinata asked. The sadness in his voice making Kageyama hold him tighter.

"No, we're going to stay home and rest since you have to take those pills, " Kageyama said quietly, knowing how much Hinata was going to hate this.

He felt Hinata nuzzled his face into his chest and relax. Kageyama kissed the top of his head and fell back asleep.

Kageyama woke up and found himself alone in his and Hinata's bed. He sat up with some fear running through him before noticing that the bathroom light was on, making his panic die down. He looked over and saw Hinata's bear laying in Hinata's spot on the bed.

He picked it up and held it for a moment, unsure of what had caused him to do so. Holding the bear and examining it, he noticed the orange fur was becoming flat and not as fluffy as it had been when he had given it to Hinata only months prior for Christmas.
He wasn't even sure if the bear still had his scent in it. He wanted to smell it to see but felt weird about doing that. Shaking his head to get that thought to leave, he put the bear back down and began contemplating going and checking on Hinata.

Right as he was about to, Hinata came out of the bathroom. Kageyama noticed he was wearing the beige sweatshirt he had given him the first day they had been paired together. Hinata hobbled from the bathroom to the bed.  Instead of getting back onto his side of the bed, he crawled onto Kageyama's lap, wrapping his legs around his waist and resting his head on his shoulder.

Kageyama held Hinata close to him and rested a hand on the back of his head, and twisted his fingers through his orange hair. He could tell that by Hinata's scent that something was off. His scent wasn't as vibrant as usual, almost like he was sad.

"What's wrong?" Kageyama asked softly.

Hinata nuzzled his head into the crook of Kageyama's neck and let out a heavy and exasperated sigh.

"I got up and started to get ready for school... Then I remembered that we aren't going to school today. But I really want to practice."

Kageyama could hear the sadness in Hinata's voice. He felt bad knowing he couldn't let Hinata practice or do anything for that matter.
He looked at the clock and saw it was 7 am. He realized that Hinata had to eat and take the pill the doctor gave him.

"We should go eat breakfast; I'll make you some Gohon, " he said as he nudged Hinata's head with his own, causing Hinata to look up at him.

Hinata touched their foreheads together.

"You'll make me gohon?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah," Kageyama said and kissed him softly. Hinata got off of him, and they headed downstairs to the kitchen.

Hinata propped himself up and sat on the counter. He mindlessly kicked his feet against the cabinets under him and watched Kageyama measure out the rice and pour it along with some water into the rice cooker.
Then he turned to Hinata and walked towards him. He wrapped his arms around Hinata's waist. Hinata wrapped his legs around Kageyama's hips and forced him closer to the counter.
