A Set Pair (Omegaverse)

(I should note there's gonna be angst and fluff before smutt. Please don't be mad I want to build up their relationship first .... for once 😅)

Hinata Shōyō was pretty excited for his first day of high school. He was going to be going to karasuno. One of the only High school's where he lived that had the Omega program. They paired each omega with a Alpha to help ensure the safety of the omega's.

The best part about this was that meant he would still be able to play volleyball. Most high school's deemed it unsafe for Omegas to participate in sports.
Because of their heats, usual small stature, lack of aggression and. Because there were a lot of Alphas that would take advantage of them. Since Karasuno had the omega program it helped make it safe for omegas to play.

He got to school and went to his homeroom class.
The teacher introduced himself and started to hand out the letters that had the names of who they where going to be paired with along with rules, guidelines and where they were to meet.

Hinata nervously opened his up and stared at it. He really hoped he'd get paired with someone who was nice. Honestly the thought of being paired with a alpha at all made him a little uncomfortable.

1. Alpha's are to  temporary mark the Omega they are paired with every 30 days. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action. We do not condone Permanent bond marks, however if they happen as long as it wasn't by force there won't be anything held against either Student.

2. We expect each Omega to be responsible for their heat and managing them. (However they choose.)
If they choose to manage them by mating with their assigned Alpha all we ask is that you are responsible.

3. If a Omega isn't marked by the Alpha that they are paired with and something happens as a result then the Alpha they are paired with will be held accountable. Unless there was a reason such as they were not able to mark the Omega due to them being sick or them not being able to see them.

4. In the event that two Alpha's either fight over a Omega or to protect their assigned omega.
Both Alpha's can be held  responsible. Resulting in suspension.

5. If a Alpha abuses the Omega they are paired with they will lose their right to be paired with that Omega. And lose the right to be in the omega program. Depending on the severity they will be transferred to a different school.

6. You will be paired together for the next three years unless there is a reason to separate you.

We ask all students to be obey these rules.

Hinata stared at the letter. He recognized the name but couldn't figure out where he had heard it. Regardless he was getting excited. If they were both supposed to meet at the volleyball Gym then maybe that meant that his paired Alpha also played.
That would make this whole thing better.

(Let's meet Kageyama)

Kageyama sat in his homeroom class. He was pretty nervous about this whole thing. He may have been a Alpha but To him Omegas didn't really mean anything. It wasn't that he lacked Alpha instincts to want mate or to protect a Omega. He just had never been effected by any of them. He couldn't really ever determine their scents. And none of them had ever stood out to him. In all honesty he wished he had been born a beta. Granted that would make it more difficult for him to become a pro volleyball player. But at least he wouldn't have the pressures that came along with being a Alpha always being shoved down his throat.

If they had given him the option to opt out of the Omega Program then he would.
The teacher of his class walked around passing out the letters. Kageyama watched as everyone opened theirs first before he opened his.

He stared at the piece of paper in front of him searching his brain for the reason that the name of the Omega seemed so familiar... Then it hit him.
Hinata was the small Orange haired boy he played against in the last Jr. High Volleyball tournament.
Suddenly he felt himself get angry at this.
(Why did I get paired with such a idiot) He thought.

"Okay everyone once the bell rings you are to go meet the person you'll be paired with for the next three years." The teacher said cheerfully.

The bell rang and everyone got up to leave. Kageyama stayed there for a few minutes longer.
He wasn't really sure he wanted to go see Hinata. He wondered if he remembered him. He finally got up and headed to the gym.
