a kiss in the dark

Third pov
(In bakugos point of view)

Bakugo was about to yell at kai and sero like he normally would when he noticed kai clutching the side of his head, excusing himself then running to his room.

He was secretly worried about kai. He had noticed that he would do that quite often but bakugo wouldnt think much of it until he was told that the headaches had something to do with his memories.

He gets up and makes his way to the boy's room without making anyone notice his absence.

"Oi the fuck happened"

No response.

Bakugo knocks again "dont fuckin ignore me im coming in" he barges into the room only to find the boy he had known for months knelt down holding on to his desk with both hands, looking down and panting.

Bakugo shakes off the shock and quickly closes the door behind him before running towards kai.

"Oi what the fucks going on? what happened?" he whisper yells. His worry was noticed even though he tried to hide it in order to think rasionally.

"I- c-can-cant f-find t-the fu-cking m-meds"  he was struggling to form the words out. His head hurt and he was getting dizzy.

"Shit hold on ill get them, fucking hell dont pass out" he looks back at him and turns to the door and goes out.

Bakugo slowly makes his way to where kirishima was sitting and came closer to his ear and whispered "follow me" kaminari who was sitting right next to them was surprised to see them interact that way.

Kirishima looked at him with a smile but it quickly faded once he saw bakugo's worried face. No one could actually see that he was worried except for kirishima who had been smart enough to notice the small things in bakugo.

"Whats wrong?" Kirishima breaks the silence as soon as theyre far enough to not be heard.

"That idiot lost his medication and the pills arent with me. Go to his room and keep him from passing out until i find his stupid meds." Kirishima nods and quickly runs to kais room before midorya stops him right before he could get in.

"Is everything okay? Kacchan looked a bit worried back there"

"Oh hey mido, no yeah everythings fine" one thing kirishima couldnt do for his life was lie. And midorya was well aware of that.

"I can tell youre lying kirishima you look really nervous. You know you can talk to me right?"

"I-uh could we have this conversation later i really need to-"

"YOU IDIOT I ASKED YOU TO DO ONE THING DAMMIT" bakugo "MOVE DEKU"  he hissed at deku. Kirishima was trying to stop midorya from entering the room.

"I-is that kai? whats wrong with him?" Midorya glances at the boy who was obviously in pain.

"Fuck off" bakugo closes the door and quickly looks back at kai who had fallen onto the ground grunting and struggling to stay awake. "Shit kai" he sighs and lifts the quivering boy up.

"Ah t-thank y-you" he takes the medicine and lets bakugo help him to drink. He was in way to much pain to be able to hold the cup steadily.

The two were sitting across each other with their knees pressed to their chests. Kai lets out a sigh and rests his head on bakugo's shoulder. "Thanks katsuki, im sorry bout all this i dont know whats going on"

"Fucking hell you and your shenanigans always makes a way to give me grey hair"

"Hah what can i say, i care about your physique" kai says faintly.

"Fuck you bastard, feeling any better?"

"I-" he looks up and quickly sinks into a neverending red sea.

Bakugo couldnt deny the stare anymore he didnt fight it he went in deeper than he ever had.

Their breaths intertwine and their fingers get closer and closer gently caressing the others. Their heads so close in the dark room.

They start getting closer not realizing what they were doing. They felt alone against the world. Their hands got into the others and their noses touched.

Their lips closer than ever they could feel the others breath against their skin.

"Baku-" kirishima barges in making the two boys jolt backwards resulting to kai hitting his head on the corner of the desk. "Everything okay here?"

"Yea yep mhmm yep pebbles everythings fine hehe dont worry about it. Umm thanks katsuki for the um the meds and i hope no one noticed my leave. Ill- ill be on my way out"

He pats kirishimas shoulder, looks at bakugo and smirks and leaves the room.

Bakugo sat their quiet despite kirishima's calls.

"What happened?"

"I- nothing forget about it shitty hair" bakugo snarls at his friend and storms out of the room leaving kirishima confused about the whole situation.

"Hey kai you okay?"

"Oh hey broccoli, im fine i had a headache but its gone now. What were you guys talking about?"

"Oh we were talking about...."

A few hours pass they eat dessert, play games and laugh till they had tears sprouting out their eyes.

"Oh mina wait!" Kai says before she opened the door "i forgot to give you those" He gives her a small snack bag and smiles "pebbles told me you liked those so i went to get you some in the morning."

"OMY GOSH THANK YOU ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE EATEN THOSE AHH YOURE SO SWEET, NO WONDER PEOPLE LIKE YOU"  she had a big smile on her face and kai wasnt one to complain. He smiled back and closed the door. He looked back at the two remaining friends who were going to sleep over for the night.

Kirishima wanted to help clean up but everyone left quite late so bakugo and kirishima decided to stay.

After the 'incident' neither bakugo nor kai was acting wierd. They didnt put much thought into what couldve happened if kirishima hadnt barged in.

"So... guys" kirishima starts talking "care to tell me what was going on before i came in"

And before bakugo opened his mouth to yell at the redhead, kirishima felt a small tap on his head from behind. He looked back and saw kai evilly smiling.

"What are you talking about hm" kirishima got the message. He surely was going to ask bakugo about it but not infront of kai.

"OI POMERANIAN CARE TO GET YOUR ASS OFF MY COUCH AND HELP"

"NOT MY PROBLEM DIMWIT YOU WERE THE ONE WHO INVITED THE IDIOTS EH"

"YOU KNOW WHATS GONNA BE YOUR PROBLEM?"

"WHAT"

"THAT STICK UP YOUR-"

"okaayy thats enough for you two" kirishima laughs nervously. "I swear sometimes you bicker like an old married couple"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP SHITTY HAIR"

"can i be the wife?"

"OH NOT YOU TOO" bakugo yells back at kai.

"Oh yess it would be so nice. Hed play as the annoying husband that doesnt get social cues" kai says completely ignoring katsukis yells.

"oh my god and all the head smacks hed get" kirishima laughs.

"ALRIGHT THATS IT" katsuki gets up anf charges towards kai who, by now was impossible to get a hit on. It frustrated katsuki to his core.

"Better luck next time princess." Kai responded holding bakugos hand against his back "why dont you help me clean up like the husband you are"

"i fucking get you"

"Sure you will pretty boy"

"Ill fuck you up"

"Mhmm okay"

Their interaction reminded kirishima of someone. Bakugo's and todoroki's conversations were really similar.
