It's been forever sense I've read the first book lol so don't judge

You never believed in love at first sight. You thought it was a myth made up by silly believers who had their hopes way to high up. But when you saw him you knew there was some truth to the myth.

You didn't even know his name but he captivated your eyes as he walked amongst the loud games and sweaty teens. His enchanting blue eyes as deep and mysterious as the sea. His raven hair swept out of his eyes and that oh so charming smile. He was perfect.

He had asked you the year to which you answered, "1985, why?" But he had left without responding. So you followed him through the crowd of kids and saw the mystery boy with what looked like a half goat boy and a blond girl. Wait... half goat kid?? You must have drinker too many of those complimentary sparkling ciders. This kid in front of you has goat legs! He has hooves! What?!

The blond girl turned and saw you staring at the satyrs legs. She tapped the boy who had caught your eyes shoulder and soon all three kids were staring at you.

"Where are your feet?" You blurted out.

The kids laughed at you and you could feel your heart melt as you watched the ravenette smile and you could see his dimples, his charming white grin, his laugh was smooth but had a hearty tone to it. You didn't even realize when they started walking away. You wanted to run after but they had been lost to the hotels many, many rooms of games.

You thought you had seen the last of him but you caught a glimpse of his dark hair and his friends blond ponytail running towards an exit. Just to see what was up you chased after. The trio had burst through the exit and you made it a second after them.

They had stopped to catch their breath and you tried to make your way over to them but tripped. The trio didn't seem to notice and ran off towards a bus stop. You rolled over onto your back and just watched them go. But that's when you noticed something was different.

You looked around at the cars passing but they weren't the cars you remembered. The buildings looked newer and fancier. The streets were nicer and the peoples clothes looked so much different. Thankfully you fit in with your (favorite band) t-shirt and jeans.

It was a lot to take in and you just sat there admiring the world you had stepped into. It was so much brighter and seemed much more advanced. The most confusing thing though was why everyone was the small black boxes everyone seemed to be carrying around.

Eventually you stood and tried to find your way to a map. From there you would decide what to do.

It took you awhile but you found a map, you found out that a bus cost money and the bus driver didn't appreciate you not having money but after some talking to and a sob story he caved and let you ride. You rode to a police station and from there they took you in.

You asked them to look up your parent's names. They did and you could feel your heart break when the police officer sat you down with a hand on your shoulder and told you that they had died 10 years ago. Your mom/dad died of a heart attack when they couldn't find you. They were the only family you had sense your mom/dad had left when you were a kid. To know you were the cause of their death was too much to bare. So you ran out of the police station. Not heading in anywhere particular but you just need to clear your head.

You found yourself on a ferry. It had been 2-3 weeks, you had lost count of the days, sense you had found out about your parents death. Over those couple weeks you had put some things together. 1, this was not your present. This was the future, 2006 as you had learned. 2, you had no home as you had already checked and now were trying to find somewhere to stay. 3, the mystery boy from the hotel had shown up in the news and it had concerned you. You hoped he was okay so you could live to meet him again. Oh and you had found out his name! Percy Jackson. Like some Greek hero name. It suited him.
