He's alive and well guys it was just a prank by Vecna, the bats were paid actors

Sounds of talking, the strong smell of pot, and the rustle of intoxicated teenagers rubbing together invaded Y/N's ears as he stood in a corner of the cramped house. He could see his "friends" talking with their other friends and checking out the rest of the crowd. He supposed that's what he was supposed to be doing with them, but he made no effort to move towards them.

He just didn't have it in him tonight. It was nothing against the people at the party, but this just wasn't the place he wanted to be in right now. Surrounded by drunks and drugs grinding on each other to shitty music blasting loud enough you couldn't hear your own thoughts.

Taking a breath, he moved from his shaded corner, but instead of towards the party and his friends he went straight towards the door, only sparing a glance to his friend group to see if they even noticed he wasn't with them. They didn't seem to notice or care he wasn't with them, none of them even bothering to look for him so he felt less guilty of leaving without a goodbye.

He made it outside and sat on the curb with a loud sigh. What even was his plan? His car broke down last week and he sold his bike a year ago. Where would he even go?

He stared at the sky, thinking of where to go. Only one place came mind. Eddie's trailer. More specifically Eddie Munson himself. He just wanted to be with him, to be wrapped up in his arms, to not feel pressured to be like the rest of his shitty friend group. He felt like he could be himself around Eddie. He could ditch the "mister popular" title and just be himself.

He could lose Jasons judging glare every time he mentioned DnD or talked to them about the music he was currently listening too. It wasn't a friendly environment. The only good thing coming out of his friend group was getting to know Lucas. He was a cool kid, impressionable and subject to peer pressure like he was, but a nice kid anyway.

The walk was long and boring. Y/N hummed along to the song stuck in his head from the party as he walked through the night. The sun had set a while ago, so he got to look at all the stars spread out through the sky.

He made it to Eddie's p lace after an hour or so of walking. It could have been shorter if he could see better in the dark and didn't get turned around for a little bit.

Y/N made his way to the door and knocked. He fidgeted with his clothes while he waited for the door to open. He had no reason to be nervous but every time he stood on the porch waiting for the door to open, he couldn't help but get a little anxious. Eddie did that to him.

Speak of the devil, the door swung open to reveal Eddie standing there in his signature ripped jeans and hellfire shirt. Y/N couldn't help but smile at the sight of him. It was funny how just the sight of him made his heartbeat faster and all the nerves he was feeling turn from anxiety to excitement.

"Hey handsome." Eddie said and overplayed a bow.

Y/N let out a small laugh before pushing past him inside and pulling him into a hug. "Hey Munson."

Savoring the smell of his 3 in 1 god awful shampoo/conditioner/body wash Y/N smiled into the crook of Eddie's neck. This was where he wanted to be. This was his safe spot, his happy place. Wrapped up in Munson's arms, all the pressure and noise from tonight's party washed right off him and he melted further into the hug. He wanted to just stay there forever in his arms. He frowned when Eddie pulled away.

"You miss me that much?" Eddie joked.

Y/N hesitated thinking of a comeback but instead he just nodded, "Yeah, I did."

Eddie smiled at him and sat down on the couch, Y/N following right after.

"So how was the party?"

"Awful, why do you think I'm here?" Y/N answered and laid his head on Eddie's shoulder.

Munson put an arm around Y/N and brought him closer.

They sat in silence for a moment before Y/N turned his head to look up at him, "Can I borrow some clothes?"

Eddie smiled and rolled his eyes, "What's wrong with the one's your wearing?"

"They're sweaty and smell like weed. Plus, you've got the cool band tees."

"That I do. But I can't promise they smell any better." He joked.

Y/N rolled his eyes this time, "I shouldn't be surprised at this point."

Eddie got up and went to dig around in his room for a semi clean shirt for Y/N to wear, maybe some pants too. When he walked back into the living room, he found Y/N laying on the couch.

"Don't fall asleep yet pretty boy." Munson joked and threw the shirt at Y/N's face.

"Okay okay, fine." He sat up and discarded his shirt on the floor, slipping Eddie's on after.

Eddie smiled at the sight, "Looking good L/N."

"When do I not?" Y/N retorted.

He laid back down on the couch but moved over so Eddie could fit beside him.

"Y'know there's a bed, right?"

"Yeah, but that's all the way over there." Y/N motioned to Eddie's room with a floppy hand.

Munson chuckled as he fit between Y/N and the couch. He wrapped an arm around the others waist. It was the perfect moment, L/N in his clothes, smiling at him like he was the best thing in the world, cuddling into him further. He wished he could take a picture, so it'd last forever.

These were the moments that made it seem like the time slowed and nothing mattered but the two of them. Y/N loved being able to just take in the moment, especially such a soft and sweet moment as this one. He was so lucky to have Eddie in his life, he wouldn't know what to do without him. Luckily, he'd never have to know, because Eddie was in his life, and he better always stay in it.
