HoH cupid scene but with y/n

All rights go to Rich Riordan because I copied the majority of this from the actual book but just modified some parts

G/P = godly parent

Split was a cool place, minus the wind god Favonius.

Calling him a dick was being generous. Y/N couldn't stand the guy. He acted full of himself and was a bit of spaz, but what can you expect from the West Wind? The first encounter with him was at an ice cream stand where the wind god so kindly didn't serve him any ice cream.

"He means Eros" Nico said, "Cupid in Latin."

Y/N was brought back to the present, realizing he had zoned out while Favonius had gone on a "short" tangent about the North Wind.

"Very good, Nico di Angelo. I'm glad to see you again, by the way. It's been a long time." Favonius said with a smile.

Nico's eyebrows knit together, "I've never meet you."

"You've never seen me," The god corrected. "But I've been watching you. When you came here as a small boy, and several times since. I knew eventually you would return to look upon my maters face."

Y/N watched as Nico turned paler, which he hadn't thought that was possible, and his eyes dart around like a caged animal.

"You okay Nico?" Y/N asked concerned.

Nico wouldn't make eye contact with the son of G/P, "I'm fine. Nothing's wrong."

"Nothing's wrong?" Favonius laughed, "Your friends are in Tartarus, the earth mother is waking, and you still won't admit your true feelings to yourself or to them."

Y/N stiffened, he felt like he heard something he wasn't supposed to have heard. But it stirred questions in his mind. Who was the god referring to? Then he remembered something Piper had told him a while ago; Nico had a crush on Annabeth supposedly.

"We've only come for Diocletian's scepter." Nico said, eager to change the subject. "Where is it?"

Favonius laughed again and Y/n was really starting to hate the guy, his voice was annoying, "You thought it would be as easy as facing Diocletian's ghost? Your trials will be much more difficult."

Y/N didn't like the thought of Nico having to go through hard trials, he had already gone through Tartarus alone couldn't the gods cut him some slack?

"I kept the scepter for safekeeping," The god said. "It is one of Cupid's many treasures, a reminder of better times. If you want it..." He turned to look directly at Nico. "You must face the god of love."

Y/N hated the scared look on Nico's face, but they needed this scepter to defeat Gaea. If it took having the son of hades admit his love for Annabeth, then so be it. They couldn't leave without the scepter.

He patted Nico's shoulder, "You got this."

Nico didn't look convinced, but he squared his shoulders and nodded. "You're right. I-I'm not afraid of a love god."

Favonius laughed and spun the hoop on his finger, dissolving the three into the air.

The wind god set the two demigods down in the middle of some Roman ruins, next to a broken column the size of a redwood. Crumbling walls, square foundations, and cracked roads, all overgrown with grass surrounded them like some mossy game board.

Y/N's body reformed, and he held his stomach in hopes of keeping his lunch in his stomach.

He heard the wind god laugh again and Y/N swore the next time he hears him laugh he will stab him in the face. "Mortal bodies are terribly bulky. Honestly, I don't know how you stand it, day in and day out."
