Ravi and Leah finally made it to Venus, and after heading outside and exploring the rugged jungle for a few minutes, they finally started asking themselves if they were even going on the right track.

"Are you sure there's a spire near here?" Leah asked her ghost.

"Yes, I'm detecting a great vex activity around this zone. So, there has to be a spire somewhere around" Cybel replied.

"I hope you are right" Ravi added.

"Oh... she's right" Wire stated. "Just look at that"

Ravi and Leah stared in shock at where they had just arrived. They were in a huge esplanade full of rocks, hills, green areas, big trees... but in the middle, there was a weird-shaped platform. Though more than a platform, it was like a group of many stone cubes of different sizes just pieced together.

"Wh-what the hell is this?" Leah asked in surprise.

"It's like... those weird constructions I saw all around the environment the first time we came here" Ravi added in the same manner. "Though those were even bigger than this one. Could it be that each of those is a spire?"

"Perhaps..." Wire bluntly replied. "However, I think it has to do more with the Vex's corruption over Venus"

"Vex corruption?"

"The Vex are machines, they don't think or feel the way we do. They just follow directives and protocols implanted inside the minds that control them" Wire paused for a moment. "They are not just alien robots, they are completely emotionless... and they only live to fulfill their objectives"

"And how does that involve Venus?" Leah asked with a bit of uneasiness

Cybel then was the one to answer that question. "One of those objectives is to corrupt and transform whatever they touch into a machine... including planets" she bluntly stated.

Ravi and Leah on the other hand, turned around and stared at the giant vex construction in shock while finally understanding what their ghosts meant. The vex aren't just invaders... They are like a virus whose only goal is to turn every planet, planetoid and satellite in the Solar System... into a machine.

"Let's not waste time" Ravi finally said, breaking the silence. "Come on, let's go"

Everyone nodded and got on the weird and wide vex platform, which was very uneven. Some zones were a lot higher, creating many hallways or even stair-looking areas. It was quite difficult to move around, but those were just details. At the very center, there was some kind of hologram-looking thing. Like a digital column that somehow came out into the real world. "That's it" Wire claimed, referring to such column. "That's a vex spire. This one is quite small though"

"It's okay. It should still be enough to call out a gatelord" Cybel added.

"Very well... In that case, let's do it" the warlock boy added with determination.

And so, Wire proceeded to scan the vex spire. "I think I got it" he said while attempting to hack it. "This is very complex though. The vex certainly like to keep their network under a lot of security"

"Can you do it?" Leah then asked the tiny droid.

"I'm not sure. But, maybe..." Wire paused for a moment and then asked for the other ghost's cooperation. "Cybel, I might need your help here"

"Okay then" the female ghost replied while approaching the spire as well. "I guess 2 ghosts are better than only 1"

Cybel and Wire were now trying to hack into the network together as their guardians took a seat at a nearby rock... waiting. For several minutes, nothing seemed to happen. But then suddenly, the ghosts finally reported their results. "I think we did it"
