A really special celebration has finally started at the Last City.

The Crimson Days...

A time in which people celebrate the amazing gift of friendship and love. During this time, the streets of the Last City are covered with lots of beautiful scarlet and crimson decorations, as well as lovely heart-shaped accessories of different sizes and red rose petals which are both spread all around, reaching almost every corner of every place.

Friends gather almost every day in order to party or just chill around together. Couples show their love and express their happiness for having each other in any way they can think of. And of course, one of the main traditions of this special occasion... is showing the people who are always around in case you need them your appreciation by giving them some sort of present... being chocolate or any other kind of special candy the most frequent one.

However, these Crimson Days in particular were very unique from any other that ever took place in the past... Specially for a certain human girl who had finally arrived home after doing some shopping at the supermarket. 'Ok then, I have all I need' Leah thought as she put many different ingredients like milk, cocoa and sugar over the table at her kitchen. 'I have never done chocolate before but... it can't be that hard'

That's right, the human girl was going to prepare a gift of chocolate for someone very special in her life. Someone who, besides just making her smile once again after a very long time, changed her life forever even if she still hadn't noticed it.

At any rate, this was also completely unexpected and new coming from the young huntress. Because on previous years, the only people she ever bothered to prepare a Crimson Days gift to... was her own family. "Wow... You seem very motivated... Whoever you are making that for must be someone truly special" Cybel told her guardian in a teasing and kind of mischievous tone.

"W-well... yeah..." Leah replied nervously and with a slight blush. "B-but, don't make yourself any crazy ideas!" she then added while still all flustered, to which in return, Cybel simply giggled slightly and then left her alone.

As time went by, the guardian girl tried and failed many times in order to achieve a good result in her cooking. However, she wasn't planning on giving up any time soon. She was a total mess at that point... The apron she had on was covered in chocolate, as well as her hands and face. And yet... she didn't care. She wanted this gift to to be special. And when the night arrived at last, she had finally managed to get a good decent result. In addition, the human girl was more than satisfied with it. And as such, all that was left for her to do was put the sweets in a box and decorate it.

After finishing and putting it in the fridge, she finally realized how dirty and messy she was. 'I need a relaxing bath' she thought with exhaustion after taking a long sigh.

And so, the huntress went to take a very long bath during which she actually meditated a lot about many troubling things. Well... mainly 1 thing to be precise: the fact that she did end up taking such trouble just to make a simple gift for that someone special to her.

'This... this doesn't mean anything' she thought while slightly dipping her face in the water and still blushing. 'It's... It's just a... g-gift for Crimson Days... because of our friendship... n-nothing more... right?' As she kept on mulling it over and over, she was also getting more and more red while slowly curling into a ball inside the bathtub. 'Th-th-that's right... We are... We are f-friends... b-best friends... nothing more than that. S-so... it's perfectly normal for me to want to g-give him a present... Yeah... It's just... normal... normal...' she then paused for a moment... until yet another question took form in her mind. 'But then, if it's normal..."
