"Okay, we are in position" Idus muttered through the comms of his helmet as he and Kadiah got on top of a tall Vex pillar.
"Okay, cool" Ravi replied from the other side of the comms. "Now it all depends on our pair of titans"
"Very well... In that case, at my signal, you 4 start with the attack"
"Are you... sure this is a good idea?" Kadiah then asked Idus in a concerned voice.
"It's the only one we have... so it has to work" the awoken boy finally said as he made memory of part of Ravi's earlier explanation.

"A conflux?" Caleb asked.
"That's right" Ravi replied. "Wire and I had some time to analyze the Vex's whole operation and realized something"
"What the gatelord at the middle is manipulating is the key element behind everything" Wire added. "It's what the Vex are using to open the portals and bring forth Vex from the past and future into the present"
"Yeah, but it's not a vex spire as we originally thought. It's actually a conflux"
"And what difference does that make?" Gamia asked this time.
"A spire is a manifestation of a part of the vex network's code in the real world" Wire replied. "That means it can fulfill certain applications or work as an access point to the network itself"
"The conflux on the other hand..." Cybel continued. "...is almost like an upgraded version of a spire. It's programmed to do certain things, but it can also be controlled manually in case it's necessary. And to make it worse, it tends to be a lot more difficult to take down than a mere spire"
Everyone startled slightly at Cybel's words.
Then, Ravi continued. "Some time ago, Wire and Cybel were able to hack a spire, working together, in like 20 minutes. But a conflux... That's gonna take a lot more than that... UNLESS... all 6 ghosts present here work together"
"All 6 ghosts?" Kadiah asked in surprise.
"Correct. We need to take down the conflux to stop the army from growing any further. And in order to do that as fast as possible, we'll need 2 things: First, all 6 ghosts at the middle... And second, a distraction that helps keep the Vex busy even for a while"
"That's were you 2 come in" Leah said, pointing to Kadiah and Idus. "Since you 2 are the best long-distance fighters we have, we'll need you on a good spot"
"That way you can attack from safety and give Leah, Gamia, Caleb and I some cover as we approach the conflux"
