Back on Earth, Idus and Kadiah were still discussing about Ravi and Leah. The awoken boy was trying to find any sort of hint that might suggest that those 2 were somehow breaking the Vanguard's rules.
"So, those 2 are always together" Idus told Kadiah, referring to Ravi and Leah.
"That's right. I honestly have never seen a more unique friendship than the ones those 2 have" Kadiah replied happily.
"Unique? In what way?"
"Well, it's as if they are the complete opposite of each other, and yet the total same!" Kadiah stared at the bright sky with a smile after saying this. "Seriously, they are just perfect!"
"Huh?"
"Don't you feel the same as me after all that I told you? I can't wait to see how their relationship develops!"
Idus was sweat-dropping while listening to Kadiah's talk. "I think you might be getting off track here" he told his awoken friend. After that, Idus began reviewing all the info he gathered. 'So, Ravi and Leah are best friends... They fight from time to time, usually because of silly reasons... They've had one sole discussion which almost ended up ruining their friendship... And they are almost always together and help each for both the patrol missions and classes' The awoken boy just couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Though, he still had a couple of more questions to make. "Do you know how they met each other?" he finally asked.
"Eh? Well, now that you mention it... I don't. They haven't told that to anyone. But, I suppose it's cause none of us has ever actually asked that"
"And how are they? Their personalities I mean"
"Mmmh... Leah is usually very calm and cheerful. She always tries her best to follow the rules. But, Ravi..." Kadiah sweat-dropped a bit. "Well, he's a bit more unpredictable. And also acts a bit weird from time to time if you ask me. It's almost as if he's just to innocent to realize when a situation is uncomfortable"
"I see..."
"Man... speaking so much about them makes me wonder where they might be right now. They are probably helping each other with that essay they had to do about the Reef"
After hearing this, an idea finally came into Idus's mind. "Wait a sec! You said you share the exact same classes as them, right?"
"Well, yeah! Luckily, we 3 are in every single class together!" Kadiah answered all happy.
"Then, what about you?" Idus asked leaving Kadiah confused. "Have you done that essay yet?"
"Huh? Well, no..." Kadiah stayed silent for a few moments and then realized something. "Eh? Wait a minute! If I have the same classes as them, then why didn't I know about that homework?"
"Exactly! There's no doubt now. Those 2 were lying about having to do homework"
Kadiah remained in silence as she found it hard to believe that her friends lied to her. "B-but... Why?" the awoken girl asked with concern.
"They obviously wanted the info I told them about the Reef for something else... and if it's the reason I think, then they really might be in trouble after all" Idus wasted no time and stood up. "I have to go now. I'll see you later"
"H-hey! Wait! What's going on?!" Idus didn't even listen to her and simply left. 'Leah and Ravi... lied? What is happening?' Kadiah was getting more and more concerned... At least until a waiter arrived to present to her the bill for the food. "What the... Mmgh... Idus, you idiot!"
