"No! RAVI! LOOK OUT!" Idus yelled in concern, even though it was too late for that.
Atheon punched the blue-haired warlock with all of its might and send him flying all the way back. "GAAAGGH!" he groaned as he crashed against the floor.
"RAVI!" Leah then yelled desperately, as Ravi on the other hand, remained unable to even move a bit for some unknown reason.
Then, the vex machine began slowly approaching the boy in a menacing way. Nonetheless, one more thing happened at that moment, at the eyes of everyone around, before the conflux could keep on advancing.
Ravi got on his knees one more time while groaning even more in pain. Whatever it was the true reason for him not being able to withstand the power of the relic... was not only hurting him anymore, but also slowly killing him, and because of the that, the blue-haired boy had no other choice unfortunately.
Without even wanting, his body began releasing and releasing energy non-stop, making him pass through the most terrible pain he had ever experienced while also slowly expelling the relic out until finally... it materialized once again.
Ravi fell on the ground. His suit was slightly torn, just like his friends'. But besides that, his powered up state was gone for good. His eyes were once again of their usual dark blue color, and the yellow aura around him had disappeared as well.
"C-crap..." he groaned while attempting to crawl towards the relic. "My body... hurts... but..." He then tried reaching for the relic in order to absorb it once again. But unfortunately, he wasn't the only one wishing its power anymore, given that Atheon too began moving towards the weapon, wishing to make its power its own. "No... You damn machine... Stay away..."
Meanwhile, the guardian trainees at the back were watching everything from afar without knowing what to do. Though more than just watching, Idus actually noticed the great importance that the relic had in all of this.
"No... No no no... We gotta help!" Leah yelled as Idus kept on holding her wrist, preventing her from moving forward. "Let go, Idus! Let go of me now! He needs our help!"
"Calm down, Leah!" Idus replied as he finally set the girl free. "Listen... I know he needs us! But we can't just jump into the fight like that! That thing is too strong to best in a fist fight!"
"B-b-but...!"
"You got a plan?" Gamia then asked Idus.
"Not exactly a plan" this last one replied. "It's more of an objective"
Everyone startled slightly at those words. "What do you mean?"
"See that glowing levitating thing Ravi is trying to reach?" Idus pointed to the relic. "Whatever you do, DO NOT let that machine touch it"
Back with Ravi...
'Kgh!... This... wasn't... supposed to happen' the bluenette thought. 'Kabr and Pahanin made a mistake... No... Actually, I did it too. We assumed that by reinforcing the relic, I'd be able to wield it without any further damage to my body. But the truth is that by doing it, they also injected even more power into it' Ravi clenched his fists in frustration. 'I... should've realized sooner that my time was gonna be limited... Damn it!'
The boy kept on lamenting himself for how careless and stupid he was. However, mere moments before the machine could finally make contact with the relic, the whole group of trainees finally intervened all together.
