Bojan and Vuk had finally finished their explanation about the Vault of Glass and the trio of guardians who raided it long ago. What is more, the trainees were now free to explore the area and examine the landscape however they wanted. And as such, everyone present went their own way in order to check whatever it was that caught their attention the most throughout the visit.

Some people gathered together and looked at the tall vex pillar that lied at the middle from up close. Some other group of trainees simply took a seat over the grass and began chilling around.

In the case of Leah and her friends however, they all went to check the fascinating architecture that could be found all around the wide open area: the magnificent geometric-style stones, the walls with technological patterns all around them, and even the giant metallic door which they now knew was none other thing than the entrance to the Vault of Glass itself.

However, it didn't take much longer for all the fun they were having to finally go to waste. Specifically, when the top of the tall vex pillar from before began glowing while shooting a tiny but noticeable beam of light all the way to the very middle of the giant circular entrance.

Everyone present startled in surprise at such weird phenomenon taking place. Even Vuk and Bojan, who were supposed to know a lot about the vault, felt more than shocked and weirded out. "What the...?" muttered Bojan while stepping to the front.

"This is... totally new" Vuk added in the same manner, only to see how the beam of light vanished completely some moments later.

"Hey! What was that thing?!" lord Shaxx then asked the warlock duo. "Was it normal for it to be glowing like that?!"

"No... It definitely wasn't"

"And that's not everything" Bojan added. "The fact that it was connected to the entrance... Hey Vuk, do you think that maybe...?"

Before the exo could finish his question, the ground began shaking like it never did before. Almost like a deadly earthquake hitting the entire landscape, though the guardians had no idea it wasn't really an earthquake what was going on.

"Oh no! Leah!" Liz yelled at that moment while seeing the ground nearby cracking and taking the young huntress away from the others.

The entire zone became unrecognizable some minutes later. The ground kept on moving up and down, and in every direction. The second and third-year supervisors were doing everything in their power to protect the first-year trainees scattered all around. And in addition to that, Cayde, Shaxx, Vuk and Bojan were also doing everything they could to fight back the lots of vex goblins that had suddenly warped into the zone without any warning.

"Leah, watch out!!!" Kadiah suddenly yelled as the piece of floor in which she rested was about to crash against the one in which the human girl was.

"Oh no! K-Kadiah, wait!" Leah yelled in return but it was too late. Kadiah accidentally tripped over and both girls fell all the way down to the ground near the vex pillar.

Then, the young huntress noticed something quite surprising. The 'earthquake'... was really affecting every single corner of the zone they were at, and probably even more, EXCEPT... the ground close to the vex pillar and the entrance to the vault.

"HEY, EVERYONE! COME OVER HERE! THIS IS SAFE GROUND!" the huntress yelled even though it was useless. Her voice wasn't reaching her classmates at all due to the lots of noise produced by the ground cracking and the vex laser blasts being shot.

Then a few moments later, Kadiah startled in shock again after seeing 1 of the many vex goblins about to shot Leah dead. "N-NO! LEAH! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" the awoken girl screamed as she pushed the huntress to one side, after which this last one didn't lose a second and took down the robot in an instant. "What the hell was that thing?!" Kadiah then asked while still in shock.
