Chapter 41: Fun Party

The strike mission was finally over, and Ravi and the rest of the team returned to their ship and went all the way back to the Last City at last. The first thing they did after arriving at the Vanguard's tower was head straight towards the infirmary in search of some treatment for their wounds.

However, unlike Ravi and Leah who were humans with bodies made of flesh, Vuk and Bojan were exos with metallic bodies. Therefore, the only group capable of repairing them was a team of specialized mechanics and engineers at the hangar.

Before going for that however, they first had to report all that they had accomplished to Zavala, Ikora and Cayde; as well as give the 3 commanders a full report on Ravi and Leah's performance throughout the mission. "Wow... Looks like you certainly went through some trouble" Cayde said in a joking tone as soon as he noticed Vuk and Bojan entering the conference room.

"Yeah... No telling" Bojan replied in the same manner.

"What happened to your arm?"

"Oh, a giant servitor tore it apart" Vuk added in an innocent way. "You don't need to worry though. I have some people at the hangar working on a new one already"

Ikora and Zavala exalted at Vuk's words. "A giant servitor?! You can't be serious!" Ikora claimed.

"Oh, it's true. And to be completely honest, I don't know what you were thinking when you tasked such a difficult mission to a pair of mere trainees"

"W-wait a sec!" Zavala then claimed with concern. "Where are they?! Are those 2 okay?! Are they alive?!"

"Of course they are!" Bojan replied with a smile. "They are fine! I mean... they had a few bruises and wounds... and also a couple of burns... but they should be okay after they receive some treatment in the infirmary"

Zavala sighed in relief. "I see... That's good to know. I guess we owe you then. Those trainees would've probably mess it up without you 2"

Vuk startled at those words. "Huh? What are you saying? Those 2 were amazing!"

"Eh?"

"You heard me. If it wasn't for them, neither Bojan nor I would be here right now! And the same applies to our ghosts! Isn't that right, Etu?"

"Yeah, for sure" Etu added out of nowhere. "What is more commander Zavala... It's those 2 who ended up coming up with the method to defeat such terrifying opponent. They are the ones who took down the enemy in the end"

"THEY saved our lives"

Zavala, Ikora and Cayde remained in silence and surprise after hearing all that Vuk, Bojan and their ghosts were saying. Even though they already knew that Ravi and Leah were NOT regular guardian trainees by any means, the 3 of them still found it hard to believe that the guardian duo could have that much potential inside of them. And what is more, they were now also starting to wonder if there were more like them hidden inside the new generations of guardians.

"Anyway, that's all we wanted to say" Bojan finally claimed with a grin. "Teaming up with Ravi and Leah was a hell lot of fun. So thanks a lot for the opportunity, commander" After that, both him and his partner finally left along with their ghosts. And so, Zavala, Ikora and Cayde were left with a lot to think about.

Later, while on their way to the hangar, Bojan and Vuk were still discussing about the great skills both Ravi and Leah displayed during the now called... Devils' Lair strike.
