Almost an hour later after having read the entirety of Commander Zavala's message more than 10 times, lots of questions and doubts began taking form inside Ravi's mind regarding some specific points of the operation they were tasked to complete.

"I still don't get it" Ravi muttered while rubbing his head.

"What? You don't get the final goal of the mission?" Wire asked.

"Of course I get that. We have to locate and neutralize a specific group of Fallen from something called.... the House of Devils? What the hell is that?"

"Wait... You don't know about it?" Leah asked him, a bit surprised that he didn't know that info.

"Should I?"

"Well... Yeah, I guess... We were taught about it in the Academy"

"Oh, that explains it... It's kinda hard for me to pay attention in history class... hehehe..."

The guardian girl took a long sigh and sweat-dropped at Ravi's answer. "Okay, here's the thing... The Fallen may be dirty pirates and all, but they are actually quite organized"

"Are you for real?"

"Yeah... It may be hard to believe it, but they are divided in 'houses'"

Ravi tilted his head slightly in confusion while sweat-dropping.

"Let me explain it to him" Cybel told Leah as this last one took a long sigh. Then, the tiny female ghost turned to face Ravi. "If you wanna know more about the Fallen houses, you must first understand a bit of the Fallen's long history"

"I see... In that case, enlighten me" the blue-haired boy replied, after which Cybel finally got ready to tell him all she knew regarding the Fallen's past...

The Fallen... wretched space pirates with 4 arms and 4 eyes that come from an unknown system located somewhere really far away. They make a living and survive from scavenging and stealing whatever they can from anywhere they are... and they are also currently known for inhabiting in great proportion around planets like Venus, the Moon, and of course... Earth.

However, that wasn't always like that. According to many stories told by many fallen prisoners the Vanguard has captured along many years... the Fallen... or Eliksni, as they were once called, were once an immensely modernized and almost utopic society thanks to the Traveller itself... or as they call it... the Great Machine...

That's right, Long before the Traveller even appeared in the Solar System, its light used to bless the Fallen just like it does to humanity nowadays. Thanks to it, the Eliksni had its very own Golden Age... a time in which technology and life in general prospered. However, that didn't last forever. One day they woke up only to realize that the Great Machine was no longer alongside them... and not so long after that, they were invaded. Invaded by the very same darkness that marked the beginning of humanity's Collapse.

Defeated and almost extinct, the remaining Eliksni survivors had no other choice but to escape in search of the Great Machine. They planned to find it, wherever it was; discover why exactly it abandoned them, whatever the reason for that may be; and then reclaim it by force if necessary.
