Chapter 39: Power Gap

"It is... Sepiks Prime" the big fallen archon evilly claimed as the giant servitor at one side began floating in the air while scanning the whole area with rigor.

"Oh no... I don't like this" Ravi added in a low voice.

"Is that... a servitor?" Leah then asked with fear.

"Do not move"

"Huh? Wh-why?"

Ravi slowly approached Leah while still gazing at the levitating machine. "If I'm not mistaken, that thing is trying to recognize this place. Just like that gatelord we defeated back on Venus did in its own way" The bluenette took a firm grip of the huntress's delicate arm and began calmly backing up along with her. "We... We must reunite with Vuk and Bojan while we still can"

Leah nodded, nervously. "O-okay..."

"Oh no... I won't let you!" the fallen archon then claimed as it abruptly caught the giant and imposing servitor's attention by stepping on the ground with great force...

...

...and talking to it as if it was some sort of loyal pet or servant.

"SEPIKS PRIME!" he continued. "THE DEVILS' MOST ADVANCED WEAPONIZED SERVITOR AND SOURCE OF ETHER! DESTROY THESE 2 HUMAN PESTS AND MADE THEM FEEL THE FALLEN'S RAGE!!!"

Right after hearing such firm order coming from the giant fallen archon who then slowly walked away for good, the dangerous-looking servitor immediately turned its gaze to both Ravi and Leah. What is more, these 2 tensed up almost instantly while witnessing how the machine charged energy in front of it's sole big eye, only to then shoot an extremely powerful and wide purple laser beam from it.

"Oh, shoot! Leah move!" Ravi desperately yelled as he immediately jumped on top of the young girl, throwing her to the ground and barely dodging the brutal laser blast which went past both of them all the way to the surrounding building and causing a huge hole on it.

Leah just couldn't help but to stare in shock at such destruction produced by the fallen machine. "It... can't be... That thing is a monster!" she added as Ravi helped her get back up.

"Forget about that! Just run!"

Both Ravi and Leah started rushing towards the almost fully destroyed building in order to escape before it was too late. But at that moment, the so called Sepiks Prime shoot its laser one more time, causing an explosion really close to the guardian duo, and sending both of them flying in different directions.

"ACK!" groaned the blue-haired warlock after hitting the ground. And then, he quickly stood back up and tried to get the servitor's attention given that this last one was just about to attack Leah again. "HEY, YOU UGLY BALLOON! I'M STILL STANDING! SO FIGHT ME, YOU BASTARD!!!" Ravi yelled while shooting his fire directly at the machine, causing almost no damage to it whatsoever. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me..."

The servitor immediately turned its gaze to the blue-haired boy at that moment, and began shooting its laser once again as this last one moved and dodged all around the heavily destroyed scenario.

A few moments later however, the machine also moved its laser all the way to the very front of Ravi, causing another explosion that pushed the warlock back several metres. "RAVI!" Leah desperately yelled after standing back up and getting ready to attack. "LEAVE HIM ALONE YOU PIECE OF JUNK!" she then claimed while taking out lots of smaller knives like the ones she used to fight the gatelord back on Venus, only to throw them all at the same time.
