It was a nice night at the Last City. The sky was clear and bright, children were playing on the illuminated park, the birds were singing happily and flying all around; and on one table, at a nearby cafe, Kadiah and Idus were enjoying a delicious dinner just the 2 of them. Though it would more accurate to say it was actually Kadiah the one enjoying herself.
"Why are you so happy?" Idus asked Kadiah, who was leaning on her hands with a smile.
"Oh, for nothing" she replied while giggling a bit. "You certainly chose a nice place for our first date... hihi..."
"I already told you it's not a date" the awoken boy replied with coldness. "I just happened to be hungry, so I came here to get a bite. Besides, I only called you because there are some questions I need to ask you"
"Oh, come on! You don't need to hide it" Kadiah once again replied, after which she stared directly at Idus expecting him to relax. Something that obviously never happened. It was then that Kadiah realized that Idus wasn't in the mood for games. And so, she took a very long sigh, and then finally got serious. "Okay okay... What is it that you need?" she asked a bit salty while pouting.
"I want you to tell more about those friends of yours... Ravi and Leah"
"Eh? Is that why you called me here?"
"That's right"
Kadiah felt a bit annoyed that this was all that Idus wanted from her. "You can't be serious! Why didn't you just said that through the phone?!"
"Mmmh... well..."
"I can't believe you made me come all the way here just for that!"
Idus couldn't really understand why Kadiah was making of this such a drama. But, he wasn't gonna get anything unless she calmed down a bit. And as such, he gently held Kadiah's hand at that moment, startling her. "Kadiah... I'm serious. I don't wanna scare you, but your friends might be in danger"
"D-danger?" Kadiah replied in a more relaxed tone. "What do you mean?"
"I can't really tell you. But, the only way in which you can help them, is telling me all you know about them"
Kadiah was speechless, but she also noticed the genuine concern in Idus's eyes. "V-very well... I'll answer your questions" she finally muttered in return.

Meanwhile on Venus, Ravi and Leah were in the presence of the gatelord they had been so eager to draw out. Though now that they were face-to-face with it, they could feel the terrifying pressure it produced.
In any case, the gatelord didn't move an inch at first. "What is it doing?" Ravi asked his ghost.
"I believe it's scanning the area" Wire replied. "I mean... we called him here, so it must be expecting some kind of trouble"
"Well, trouble is something I'm really known for" the guardian boy added, after which he turned on his flames on both hands and put on his helmet in order to fight. Nonetheless, just as he did that, the gatelord's gaze turned to him as it began screeching some kind of robotic cry. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Ravi yelled as he, Leah and the ghosts listened to the unbearable noise. Then, out of nowhere, such noise stopped only to be replaced with the gatelord pointing its gun at the platform Ravi was standing on.
"RAVI! MOVE!" Leah yelled as the vex giant shot.
"AHH!" Ravi yelled as he quickly jumped out of the way into another nearby piece of broken floor. But it didn't stop there, the gatelord kept on shooting as Ravi tried his best to dodge moving from platform to platform. Given the height in which they all were from the ground, he would certain end up more than injured if he fell down.
