3rd Person POV:

The Ninja stood there, unable to comprehend what was happening.

Aly was the Ice Empress. But how?

Lloyd's mind raced with the information Sorla had given him:

The Empress had destroyed villages, but that was not like Aly at all.

She would never have done that.

Never.

There had to be a reason for her actions.

Cole still held her close. He didn't know what was happening, but Aly needed someone to be there. Her sobs had quietened once she realised she wasn't alone anymore.

Wasn't in pain anymore.

It was strange to feel this way after so long, so she didn't know how to take it.

But something happened which brought up a major problem.

"You are with her?!"

Sorla shouted, running coming outside to see the ninja with The Empress. Lloyd quickly shot his head around, realising how bad this looked. "Sorla. It's not what it looks like, I promise." He told her, trying to calm her.

"You're just like her. Gaining our trust so you can betray us just as she did!" Sorla snapped, making more villagers come to the scene.

"Sorla, please. Give us time to explain what we know." Lloyd begged, not wanting to face the consequences of Aly's actions. "It isn't what it seems. Please."

Sorla looked at the group with a furious expression. She had welcomed these strangers, and helped them. But was this how they would treat her?

"Sorla, we fought with you. Isn't that enough proof that we're not with her?" Nya added, bringing up the fact that they helped protect the village.

Sorla wasn't sure how to respond.

It was true that they fought The Empress with all they had, but she believed it was a cover up. Sorla sighed, still not happy. "Fine. You shall tell us what you know, and the elders shall decide what comes next." She stated, walking back inside.

Lloyd looked back to the others, his eyes fixing on the girl still in Cole's arms. "Cole, Jay, you stay here. We'll talk with Sorla." Lloyd stated, earning nods from the Masters of Earth and Lightning.

Lloyd, Kai and Nya all went inside, leaving the others in the cold.

"Come on. Let's get you to a quieter place." Cole stated, standing up while helping Aly. She looked at the ground, too overwhelmed with emotions to think straight.

But that was normal for her at this point.

Cole and Jay led her along the river, eventually sitting beside it.

"So...what happened?" Jay asked with a slight sternness in his voice.

"I-I don't know." Aly shakily told them, resting her head in her hands. "I've been...trapped for so long I just...I just can't think straight."

Cole and Jay shared worried glances before she realised something. "Wait...Where were you guys?" She asked, looking at Cole. "Uh..." He wasn't sure what to say. "We came here yesterday, hours after Aspheera sent you and Zane here." Jay told her, but that made no sense to her.

"That's...not true." She spoke, on the verge of crying. "You left us here, and we....we..." She couldn't finish. Her headache was getting worse.

There was silence again.
