3rd Person POV:
Shintaro:
Wu and Vania patiently waited for the Ninjas return in the palace. And to ensure no one was suspicious of their absence, Vania had made mediocre cut-outs of them, and used them as decoys.
She took turns with each cut-out, pretending to be the Ninja by waving at the people of Shintaro in their place.
"Princess Vania. Are you sure this is necessary?" Wu asked her, walking over as she held a cut-out of Aly, soon putting it down. "My father is a good man but very strict." She sighed; picking up Zane's cut-out and turning to Wu.
"If he knew the Ninja had defied him and gone into the mountain, he would be quite upset." "Mm, perhaps you're right." Wu responded. "Best that he does not know then. Give Cole another appearance, would you?"
Vania smiled brightly as she picked up the Master of Earth's cut-out, but the smile quickly faded.
"Oh, I do hope the Ninja are okay. Are you sure we shouldn't go after them?" She asked. "Positive. The Ninja are quite capable." Wu told her as she took the cut-out to the window.
"With Cole as their leader, I suppose they must be well-trained." Vania assumed, making Wu confused.
"Did Cole tell you, he was the leader?" Wu questioned the Princess, making her turn to face him.
"I assumed it, based on how courageous and daring he is. Isn't he?" She wondered, but Wu showed a forced smile.
"They are a team. And rest assured, they'll be fine. I would be very surprised if they hadn't found Cole already, and were on their way back victorious."
Aly's POV:
The mines:
The Skull Sorcerer had forced us to work for a while now. So long that we started to uncover black stone shards in the rock. I kept mining my cluster until a shard broke off and tumbled on the floor.
I noticed it and picked it up.
Up close the stone was very black, with golden streaks imbedded within in.
"What is this?" I wondered, just as Lloyd and Nya came over. "I'm not sure, but it looks familiar." Lloyd sighed, trying to remember when Nya pointed out what it was. "It's Vengestone." "Vengestone?" I asked, not knowing what it was.
"Vengestone is a substance that can cancel out elemental powers. Which is why ours have been failing." Nya explained, just as a skeleton started to crack its whip.
We looked over to them to find the skeletons angering a Mino creature, leaving him distressed. "Hey! Leave him alone, you big bully!" Cole called out, lifting his pickaxe and tossing it at the skeletons.
He managed to hit the whip, and lodge it into the rock behind the warrior. The skeleton shot his head back to us, looking pretty pissed.
He stole a whip off of one of his comrades, and came stomping towards us. "Okay, um, I didn't think that through." Cole pointed out, backing away. The skeleton lifted his whip and slammed it down toward Cole and Lloyd, but luckily, they managed to jump and avoid it.
He was about to aim for me next when Nya grabbed the end of the whip, pulling the skeleton back. Cole walked up to him and lifted up his ball and chain.
"Hold this for me, would ya?" He dropped it on the skeleton, and he quickly fell apart. All the creatures in the cave began to gasp and mutter while looking our way.
