Aly's POV:
Over the past day or so, we have been steadily putting together the communicator, in hopes of reaching Ninjago. We had assembled it for the most part, but we were missing something crucial.
We all looked everywhere for it, but we kept coming out empty handed. We were going to give up when...
"WE HAVE FOIL!" Kai cried out, holding up the material so we could all see. "FINALLY!" I shouted with a smile, rushing over towards the Bounty with Kai. We met up with Zane, Jay and Cole who were fixing up a few things.
Zane reached out for the foil, and Kai handed it to him. The Nindroid took it, and started fixing it to antae, adjusting it. "Okay. Let's see if it works." He muttered, lifting it up so it was stable. Kai was about to flip the switch to turn the janky device on, when Cole stopped him.
"Say we're lucky enough to reach someone in Ninjago. After everything that's happened, is there even a home to go back to?" He asked, clearly worried. "One way to find out. Here goes nothing." Kai reached for the switch again, turning it on.
The light turned green, and a noise came from the machine. "And...that sounds like nothing." Zane sighed, letting go of the antae, and walking back over. "Unh! We're never getting home!" Kai huffed, walking away.
"So it doesn't work." Jay spoke up, making our heads turn. "I'm telling you guys, I've been feeling so much better now that I've accepted our situation. This is our new home." He spoke, being way too calm for comfort.
"Jay, are you okay?" I asked him, but he ignored me. "I'm just saying you don't have to freak out about it. Heh. It could be worse." He responded, making Kai snap. "Worse? Worse!?" He started. Oh here we go.
"A strange tea lady just marooned us in the Realm of Oni and Dragon. A realm, mind you, we know nothing about, with no hope of getting home, and no clue as to what else is out there!" He blurted out angrily in Jay's face as he nodded.
"Uh, Oni and Dragons, duh?" Jay told us with a smile. "Sure, Jay. We've all seen Dragons-" "I haven't." I interrupted Cole. "Well, aside from a couple we've seen here." The others looked at me, before Cole continued.
"-But aren't you the least bit concerned about coming across an Oni? I mean, we hardly know anything about them." "Except that they like to destroy, and Master Wu is part one." Zane added, telling us little information.
"I'm hungry."
Speak of the devil.
We moved to the edge of the ship, and looked down at Wu who was sat next to a fire. He was around 8 now, and could walk and talk like the rest of us.
"Sorry, Master, but I thought we told you. We're rationing our food." Cole told him, walking down to the little guy. "Hmm. Perhaps there is some useful guidance you could impart on us in this difficult time?" Zane suggested, and the rest of us nodded in agreement.
Wu started to look around, thinking. "Master Wu?" Cole asked, hoping Wu would say something which could help us. He kept looking around, putting us on edge. "I'm hungry." He stated, making almost all of us sigh. The one person who wasn't phased by this was Jay, who started laughing hysterically. "Ah, man." He smiled.
"Can I slap him please?" I asked, getting annoyed with him.
I forgot to mention, that since we'd been rationing our supplies and training so often, everyone was a little put off. But mostly Jay and Kai. Jay seemed to lose his sense of, well, everything, while Kai became way more irritable and angry.
"You not freaking out is freaking me out!" Kai shouted, walking around Jay before pacing around. "Kai, baby, it's much easier coping with life's problems when you let go of hope." Jay explained, running to the edge of the ship and sliding down a board to the sand. "Hey, turn up that music! That's my butter and jam!" He exclaimed as the communicator continued to buzz. "Yeah-ha!"
