3rd Person POV:

Kai managed to lift his hand, and create a small flame, lighting up the subway car. They all started coughing as the dust gradually cleared. Kai, Cole and Jay found themselves piled on top of each other, while Zane was still tucked in the corner.

He sensed he'd taken on damage, but that was the least of his concerns right now. He gently sat up, and loosened his grip on Aly. Zane quickly scanned her, breathing a sigh of relief after realising she was okay...mostly. "Ugh." Jay grumbled, getting off of Kai and Cole, using one of the support poles to lift himself back up.

"Is everyone...okay?" Cole asked while lending Kai a hand. "I think so." He responded before noticing Zane. All three of them looked worried once Zane stood up, and moved Aly to the seats, gently setting her down. "Is she...?" Jay didn't want to say it, but Zane shook his head. "No, she is stable." He bluntly told them while stroking her cheek. "I should've returned to the surface." He muttered, making Kai feel guilty for convincing Zane to stay with them.

To make up for what he'd done, Kai began to look around the subway car, looking for any possible way out. "What happened?" Jay wondered, rubbing his head. "I think we're in trouble." Kai admitted, turning back to his brothers. "It appears the explosion collapsed the subway tunnel." Zane added, looking around and scanning their surroundings.

"How deep down are we?" Kai asked, making Cole roll his eyes and smile. "I've been deeper." He admitted, just before Jay got another rush of excitement. "This old girl saved our lives! I told you they don't make them like they used to anymore." He tapped one of the bordered up windows, which quickly proved to be a bad decision.

The subway car creaked, and mounds of dust and small pieces of rubble started falling in through open gaps in the windows. Zane quickly covered Aly, shielding her while the others coughed. "Jay!" Zane shouted at him. "Do. Not. Do that again!" Cole added, equally as angry. "Sorry! Sorry." Jay quickly apologised, making a mental note not to repeat his mistake.

The four boys were all worried for their safety, and began to think of a possible way out or plan. But before they could even say a word, Aly started moving. "Aly?" Zane gasped, quickly turning back to her as the others hurried over. She opened her eyes and sat up, but almost immediately started coughing and gasping for air.

Zane acted quickly, and gently placed his hands on her neck, using his powers to ease her pain and help her. "Hey, hey, it is alright. Calm down, and breathe. Everything is going to be okay." He told her, feeling her pain. Aly somewhat understood, yet she was finding it hard to calm down and breathe. "It will be okay." Zane told her again.

Slowly but surely, Aly calmed down thanks to the cold and soothing sensation of Zane's titanium hands against her neck. And soon enough, she was able to breathe properly. "There." Zane smiled at her, happy she was back. "Are you okay?" Cole asked her.

"I..." Aly went to talk, but she could barely get a word out. She tried again, but her voice was hoarse and broken, and it only caused her pain. Zane put his hands on her neck again, using his powers to ease the pain. "It is alright..." He told her before scanning her, finding what was wrong. "Your voice box is swollen and bruised, so try not to talk, alright? It will only make things worse." Zane explained, making Aly nod, understanding.

But this brought up a memory in the others. "Hey, remember when this happened to you Jay?" Kai asked him, nudging him. "Yes, I do. And it wasn't fun so I know what Aly is going through." Jay responded before looking down at his sister. "It's going to be okay. Help is on its way...I think."
